Sun News ( ta, சன் செய்திகள்) is a 24-hour Tamil news satellite television channel headquartered at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Md Shamsher Alam is the journalist of Sun News. It is a part of India's largest media conglomerate, Sun Network, having a reach of more than 95 million households in India. It is one of the oldest 24-hour news channel in Tamil. KTV is an Indian pay television channel, broadcasting Tamil language, Tamil-language films. It was launched on 22 October 2001. It is a part of the wider Chennai-based Sun TV Network, a subsidiary of the Sun Group. History The letter K in KTV stands for ''Kondattam'' which means celebration. It was launched on 22 October 2001 by Kalanidhi Maran, the Chairman of Sun TV Network. At the time of launch, Sun TV Network's library had over 5,000 movies. Chutti TV is a 24-hour Tamil cartoon television channel from the Sun TV Network in India. The target audience are children aged between 3 and 17. It was launched on 29 April 2007, making it Sun TV Network's first ever television channel for kids. Surya (; sa, सूर्य, ) is the sun as well as the solar deity in Hinduism. He is traditionally one of the major five deities in the Smarta tradition, all of whom are considered as equivalent deities in the Panchayatana puja and a means to realise Brahman. Other names of Surya in ancient Indian literature include Aditya, Arka, Bhanu, Savitr, Pushan, Ravi, Martanda, Mitra, Bhaskara, Prabhakara, Kathiravan, and Vivasvan.
