Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Martha Nause
Martha Nause (born September 10, 1954) is an American professional golfer. She is a three-time winner on the LPGA tour, including one major championship, the 1994 du Maurier Classic. Nause was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She attended St. Olaf College and her rookie year on the LPGA Tour was 1978. Nause's other tour wins were the 1991 LPGA Chicago Sun-Times Shoot-Out and the 1988 Planters Pat Bradley International. She played on winning teams for the USA against Japan in the Nichirei Cup in 1988, 1991 and 1994. Her best money list finish was 19th in 1988. Her last full season on the tour was 1999 and she later became a college golf coach. Nause also played on the Legends Tour. In 2006, she won the Hy-Vee Classic on the Legends Tour and was the tour's leading money earner. She played in the U.S. Women's Open in 2008 and 2010 and the inaugural U.S. Senior Women's Open in 2018. Dottie Mochrie
Dottie Pepper (born August 17, 1965) is an American professional golfer and television golf broadcaster. From 1988 to 1995 she competed as Dottie Mochrie, which was her married name before a divorce. She won two major championships and 17 LPGA Tour events in all. Amateur career Pepper was born in Saratoga Springs, New York; her father, Don, was a major league baseball player, who appeared on the cover of ''Sports Illustrated'' as a "rookie to watch", along with Hall of Famer Johnny Bench, in 1968. The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is an American organization for female golfers. The organization is headquartered at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is best known for running the LPGA Tour, a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female professional golfers from around the world. Cynthia "Cindy" Schreyer (born January 21, 1963) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. She also competed as Cindy McCurdy from 1998 to 2000. Schreyer started playing golf at the age of 15. Schreyer won several amateur tournaments including the NCAA Women's Division I Championship in 1984 and the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links in 1986. Jane Geddes
Jane Geddes (born February 5, 1960) is a retired American professional golfer. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1983 and won two major championships and 11 LPGA Tour events overall. Geddes was the Vice President of Talent Relations of WWE. Career Geddes was born in Huntington, New York. She played college golf at Florida State University and was a member of the school's national championship team in 1981. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1983, posting runner-up finishes three times from 1984 to 1985. Geddes broke through for her first professional victory when she won the 1986 U.S. Women's Open by defeating Sally Little in an 18-hole playoff. Then she won again the very next week. The year 1987 was her best, as she posted five victories, including the Mazda LPGA Championship, and four second-place finishes, finishing third on the money list.
