Geoff Thompson (writer)
Geoff Thompson (born 26 January 1960) is a BAFTA-winning writer, film-maker, spiritual teacher, and martial artist. He has written prolifically in a wide range of genres, including books on spirituality, self-help, self defence, and martial arts, and scripts for film and stage. Biography Early life Geoff Thompson was born on 26 January 1960 in Coventry, United Kingdom. Thompson had been a student of martial arts since a child and gained a high rank in Karate. His fear of violent confrontation despite being a highly ranked martial artist encouraged Geoff to become a night club bouncer in order to confront his fear. His experiences on the night club door, combined with a life-long desire to be a writer, led to him writing the manuscript of his first book ''Bouncer''. Anna Nicholas (born 1961, Rochester, Kent) is a British travel writer and author based in Majorca, Spain. Nicholas spent most of her childhood in London before studying Classics and English Literature at Leeds University in 1980. She worked for the charity Help the Aged, handling event PR for Princess Diana, before working for the Guinness Book of Records as an invigilator and communications director. Following a period judging bizarre world records, Nicholas started her own luxury and travel public relations agency, ANA Communications. David Baboulene
David Baboulene, is an English academic, story consultant, and author of humorous travel books, children's illustrated stories and academic works on story theory. Life David Baboulene was born in Kenley, to the south of London, UK. He attended Oxted School in Oxted, Surrey, but dropped out at the age of 16 to undertake an apprenticeship in the British Merchant Navy. His experiences from his work on cargo ships are documented in his books ''Ocean Boulevard'' and ''Jumping Ships'', which recount his adventures around the world. Stewart Ferris is a British writer from Chichester. He first came to prominence with books based on working holidays busking in mainland Europe: ''The Buskers' Guide to Europe'', ''Don't Lean Out of the Window'' and ''Don't Mention the War'', (the latter two co-authored with Paul Bassett). With Alastair Williams he co-founded Summersdale Publishers in 1990.
