Jayantha Chandrasiri
Kala Keerthi Jayantha Chandrasiri ( ජයන්ත චන්ද්‍රසිරි; born 1959), is a Sri Lankan journalist, screenplay writer, television director, and filmmaker in Sri Lankan cinema. Chandrasiri's film ''Agnidahaya'' won seven golden awards and four silver awards at the Signis International Film Festival 2003. His two teledramas ''Dandubasnamanaya'' and ''Akala Sandhya'' are rated as two of Seven Iconic Teledramas In Sri Lanka's Television History. Career Chandrasiri started his acting career in 1978 under the guidance of German dramatist Dr. Norbet J. Mayer. He completed extensive study on theater by earning scholarships to Norway, Sweden, Germany and the USA. In 1979 he worked as the playwright for the play ''Saraswathi''. Tissa Abeysekara
Deshanabu Tissa Ananda Abeysekara (7 May 1939 – 18 April 2009 as තිස්ස අබේසේකර) was a Sri Lankan filmmaker, actor, writer, director, screen playwright and political activist. He is better known as a script writer for the cinema as well as a film director. In 1996, his book ''Bringing Tony Home'' won the prestigious Gratiaen Prize for the new creative writing in English. He was the chief coordinator of FOSWAL in Sri Lanka and honoured awardee of SAARC Literary Award. Somaweera Senanayake
Somaweera Senanayake (25 November 1944 – 9 June 2018; si, සෝමවීර සේනානායක) was a Sri Lankan award-winning teledrama and script writer who also worked as a journalist, short story writer and as a novelist in his career. He died on 9 June 2018 at a private hospital in Colombo at the age of 73. Early life Somaweera Senanayake was born in 1944 in a village near Avissawella area. He attended a village mixed school in Kudagama for his primary education and finished his secondary education at the Seethawaka Central College and also at the Rajasinghe Central College before obtaining an Arts Degree from Vidyodaya University (now known as Sri Jayawardenepura University). Kala Suri Kala Keerthi Dr. Keselgaspe Manatunga Jayalath Manoratne ( si, කෙසෙල්ගස්පේ මනතුංග ජයලත් මනෝරත්න; 12 June 1948 – 12 January 2020), popularly known as Jayalath Manoratne, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. He was a lecturer by profession as well as a director and producer. A highly versatile actor from drama to comedy, Manoratne won awards at OCIC (International Catholic Organization for Cinema and Audiovisual), Presidential, Sarasaviya, Raigam Tele'es, Sumathi and the State Literary and Drama festivals.
