Sultan Faqihi
Sultan Faqihi ( ar, سلطان فقيهي; born 1 March 1995) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Saudi Professional League side Damac. Career Faqihi started his career at the youth team of Al-Nahda. He made his first-team debut during the 2015–16 season. On 24 January 2017, Faqihi signed his first professional contract with the club. On 31 January 2020, Faqihi joined Pro League side Al-Hazem on a three-year contract. On 10 August 2020, Faqihi made his Pro League debut for Al-Hazem by starting in the 2–1 home defeat to Al-Adalah. During the 2020–21 season, Faqihi made 23 appearances and scored twice as Al-Hazem were crowned champions of the MS League and once again earned promotion to the Pro League. On 7 June 2023, Faqihi joined Damac on a two-year contract. He made his debut for Damac as a second-half substitute in the 1–0 defeat to Al-Tai. 2020–21 Prince Mohammad Bin Salman League
The 2020–21 Prince Mohammad bin Salman League was the 4th season of the Prince Mohammad bin Salman League under its current name, and the 44th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 31 October 2020 as a consequence of the postponement of the previous season's conclusion due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fixtures for the first half of the 2020–21 season were announced on 3 October 2020. Fixtures for the second half were announced on 18 January 2021. The first team to be promoted was Al-Hazem, following their 4–2 away win against Al-Sahel on 20 April. 2022–23 Saudi First Division League
The 2022–23 First Division League (known as the Yelo League for sponsorship reasons) is the 2nd season of the Saudi First Division League after its rebrand, and the 46th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 22 August 2022 and will conclude in May 2023. Overview Changes On 9 October 2020, the Saudi FF announced that the number of teams in the league would be decreased to 18 starting from the 2022–23 season. Due to this decision, 5 teams were relegated last season instead of the usual 4 teams. In addition, only 3 teams were promoted from the Second Division instead of 4 teams. On 14 April 2022, the Saudi FF announced that the number of teams in the Pro League would be increased from 16 to 18 teams. To prepare for this change, only 2 teams would be relegated to the First Division League and 4 teams would be promoted to the Pro League.
