Sulayyil
Al Sulayyil () or As Sulayyil is a village in Ar Riyad Province, Saudi Arabia. The city is located about 575 km South of Riyadh city proper and 80 km North-East of Wadi ad-Dawasir, another relatively larger city. It has a size of about 25 square kilometers and a population of nearly 26,000. The landscape is that of typical desert and climate is extremely arid. The summer temperature between mid-June to mid-August may reach up to 50 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is scarce, sometimes no rain in a whole year, however, Sulayyil dwellers have observed some heavy downpours and thunderstorms during the month of March and April in recent years. Winters are mild with few exceptions of colder days, usually in the months of January and February. Al Sulayyil is in the southern Riyadh region. Ar Riyad Province
The Riyadh Province ( '), is a province of Saudi Arabia, located in the geographic center of the country and the center of the Arabian Peninsula. It has an area of and with a 2022 population of 8,591,748, it is the second-largest region by area, behind the Eastern Province and the largest by population. The capital governorate of the province is the Riyadh Governorate and it is named after the capital of the kingdom, Riyadh, which is the most populous city in the region and the kingdom, with a little less than two-thirds of the population of the region residing within the city. The province was governed for nearly five decades by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz from 1963 to 2011 shortly before he became the Crown Prince in 2012. The provinces of Saudi Arabia, also known as regions (), are the 13 first-level administrative divisions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
