Sulaiman is an English transliteration of the Arabic name that means "peaceful" and corresponds to the Jewish name Hebrew: שְׁלֹמֹה, Shlomoh) and the English Solomon (/ˈsɒləmən/) . Arabic Name
Arabic language names have historically been based on a long naming system. Many people from the Arabic-speaking and also Muslim countries have not had given/ middle/family names but rather a chain of names. This system remains in use throughout the Arabic and Muslim worlds. Shah Muhammad Sulaiman
Sir Shah Muhammad Sulaiman (3 February 1886 – 12 March 1941) (popularly known as Sir Shah Sulaiman or Sir Sulaiman) was the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court from 16 March 1932 to 30 September 1937 and was the first Indian and one of the youngest to hold the post. Captain (Naval) Malik bin Sulaiman (born 1968) is a Malaysian yachtsman and officer of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN). Born in June 1968, at Muar, Johor, Malaysia, he joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) at the age of 18. He was promoted to the rank of Captain (Capt) on 18 March 2016. Mahmud Sulaiman
Major-General Mahmud Sulaiman was a Malaysian general officer. He has been credited for the Malaysian military's success in purging the remnants of the Malayan Communist Party guerrillas in the 1970s, at the height of the Communist insurgency in Malaysia (1968–89). Mahmud's leadership style reportedly focused on constant evaluation of his subordinates; evaluation reports were commonly disregarded by other Malaysian military leaders. José Sulaimán
José Sulaimán Chagnón (May 30, 1931 – January 16, 2014) was a Mexican boxing official. He was the president of the World Boxing Council. Biography Sulaimán's father was of Lebanese descent and his mother of Syrian descent and he was born in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Sulaimán boxed as an amateur and had served as a trainer, promoter, referee, and judge. However, he was best known as an administrator for more than three decades. At the age of 16, he was on the boxing commission in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. In 1968, he joined the World Boxing Council (WBC) and quickly moved through the ranks. Sulaiman Bin Hashim
On the early morning of 31 May 2001, 17-year-old national footballer Sulaiman bin Hashim (4 June 1983 – 31 May 2001), along with his two friends were attacked by a group of eight youths from gang 369, known as Salakau, as they were walking along South Bridge Road, Clarke Quay, Singapore. Sulaiman was grievously assaulted by the gang while his two friends managed to escape. During the assault, Sulaiman sustained 13 stab wounds and two of them were fatal; he died as a result. The case was classified as murder and within the next 13 months, six of the gang members (including the mastermind) involved were arrested and eventually sentenced to jail and caning for culpable homicide, rioting and voluntarily causing grievous hurt. Stele Of Sulaiman
The Stele of Sulaiman is a Yuan Dynasty stele that was erected in 1348 to commemorate the benefactors and donors to a Buddhist temple at the Mogao Caves southeast of Dunhuang in Gansu, China. The principal benefactor is named as Sulaiman (), Prince of Xining (died 1351). The stele, which is now held at the Dunhuang Academy, is renowned for an inscription of the Buddhist ''mantra'' ''Om mani padme hum'' in six different Writing system, scripts. Another stele, commemorating the restoration of the Huangqing Temple () in 1351 by Sulaiman was found at the same location as the 1348 stele. Wael Sulaiman Al-Habashi ( ar, وائل سليمان أحمد المحيسن الحبشي; born August 8, 1964) was the first player of the Kuwait national football team to score a golden goal. The goal was scored against the UAE in 1994. Club career Sulaiman played his entire career for Al-Jahra, where he won the 1989–90 Kuwait Premier League. International career Sulaiman was part of the Kuwaiti team which won the 8th Arabian Gulf Cup.
