Sula () is an island in Sula Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island (and municipality) are part of the Ålesund Region surrounding the city of Ålesund. The island lies north of the Storfjorden, northeast of the Sulafjorden, and south of the Borgundfjorden. The island is connected to the nearby island of Uksenøya by a short bridge on the European route E39 highway. The island is mountainous, with almost all residents living in the northern and eastern shores. The southwestern half of the island is mountains, the highest being the tall mountain Vardane. Most residents live in the municipal centre, Langevåg, in the north, and Fiskarstrand and Mauseidvåg are other large population centres. Sula Fay Bermudez-Silverman (born 1993) is an American multi-media artist based in Los Angeles. Biography Sula Bermúdez-Silverman was born in New York City in 1993 and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is of mixed-race decent including Afro-Puerto Rican, Jewish, Latin, and African-American cultures and nationalities. Her artworks primarily focus on themes of post-slavery assimilation throughout the world. In 2015, Bermúdez-Silverman was an Honorary Artist-in-Residence at Project Row Houses in Houston, Texas. Afterward she would study at the Yale University School of Art, earning her MFA in Sculpture in 2018. Hannes Einari Sula (29 June 1894 Tampere – 21 November 1955 Sudbury, Ontario) was a Finnish-Canadian revolutionary who fought in the Finnish Civil War. During the Allied North Russia Intervention he was one of the leading Finns of the British organized Murmansk Legion. In 1920, Sula exiled Canada where he worked as a newspaperman and trade unionist. Life Sula was born to a carpenter's family in TAmpere and raised in Helsinki. He worked as an office clerk and was active in the Social Democratic Party since the early 1910s.
