Sukhdev Singh Namdhari
Sukhdev Singh Namdhari is the ex-chairman of Uttarakhand Minority Commission (March 2010 – November 2012), an alleged mining baron, and a politically influential figure. He stepped into politics as a small-time BJP leader, and in due time, became a well-connected political figure. He was also the State President of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, a sister organization of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He made news as the main accused in the murder mystery of famous industrialist brothers, Ponty and Hardeep Chaddha. Following the accusation and his alleged involvement, Namdhari was expelled from the BJP and removed from his post of the Minority Commission chief. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( ; , , ) is an Indian right-wing, Hindu nationalist, paramilitary volunteer organisation. The RSS is the progenitor and leader of a large body of organisations called the Sangh Parivar (Hindi for "Sangh family"), which have presence in all facets of the Indian society. Gurdeep Singh Chadha (22 October 1960 – 17 November 2012), also known as Ponty Chadha, was an Indian businessman who owned the Wave Group. Early life During the Partition, a person named Kulwant Singh Chadha migrated from what subsequently became Pakistan to set up a mini sugar mill in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Bazpur, or Bajpur, is a city and a municipality in Udham Singh Nagar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India.
