Suite PreCure
is a Japanese anime series and the eighth installment in Izumi Todo's ''Pretty Cure'' metaseries. Produced by Toei Animation, the series is directed by Munehisa Sakai, who directed the ''One Piece'' anime series. Character designs were by Akira Takahashi, who previously worked on ''Kaidan Restaurant''. The series aired on TV Asahi's ANN network between February 6, 2011 and January 29, 2012, replacing '' HeartCatch PreCure!'' in its initial timeslot and was succeeded by ''Smile PreCure!'' A manga adaptation by Futago Kamikita was serialised in Kodansha's monthly ''Nakayoshi'' magazine. Magical Girl
is a subgenre of Japanese fantasy media (including anime, manga, light novels, and live-action media) centered around young girls who possess magical abilities, which they typically use through an ideal alter ego into which they can transform. The genre emerged in 1962 with ''Himitsu no Akko-chan'', followed by ''Sally the Witch'' in 1966 produced by Toei Animation. A wave of similar anime produced by the studio in the 1970s led to being used as a common term for the genre. Kaidan Restaurant
is a Japanese children's storybook series. The books take the form of horror anthologies, edited by Miyoko Matsutani and illustrated by Yoshikazu Takai and Kumiko Katō. As of 2007, there were 50 volumes published by Doshinsha. Over 8 million copies of the books have published so far. The books were adapted into a TV anime series by Toei Animation, which began airing in 2009. It derives its name from "kaidan", which loosely translates to "thriller" (from "kai", meaning strange, mysterious, rare or bewitching apparition, and "dan", meaning talk or recited narrative; a more direct translation would be a ghost or horror story). Rather than forming a linear plot, the anime follows the anthology format of the book and tells a collection of ghost stories similar to what would be traditionally told around a campfire. Kumiko Nishihara
is a Japanese voice actress from Chigasaki, Kanagawa affiliated with Aoni Production also known for her work on the stage. Absolute pitch (AP), often called perfect pitch, is a rare ability of a person to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone. AP may be demonstrated using linguistic labeling ("naming" a note), associating mental imagery with the note, or sensorimotor responses.
