Suillellus Queletii
''Suillellus queletii'' (formerly ''Boletus queletii''), commonly known as the deceiving bolete, is an uncommon, edible mushroom in the genus ''Suillellus''. Naming Originally described by Stephan Schulzer von Müggenburg in 1885 as a species of ''Boletus'', the fungus was transferred to ''Suillellus'' in 2014. The epithet ''queletii'' was given in honour of Lucien Quélet. In 1796 Christiaan Hendrik Persoon described a type of bolete under the name ''Boletus erythropus'' and in the next 200 years the same name was widely used for a well-known species having red pores. But recently it was discovered that Persoon's mushroom had orange pores, that usage of the name ''B. erythropus'' was invalid, and now the red-pored species (after a separate change to the genus too) has to be called ''Neoboletus luridiformis)''. Stephan Schulzer Von Müggenburg
Stephan Schulzer von Müggenburg (December 19, 1802 – February 5, 1892) was a Hungarian-Croatian army officer and mycologist. His first name is variably spelled Stefan, Stjepan or István. Schulzer von Müggenburg was born into abject poverty in a dilapidated castle at the periphery of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His mother died in his early childhood. He was brought up by, and received a Spartan home-education from, his well educated but very strict father, a retired army officer of Saxonian descent, who died when Schulzer was fifteen. Schulzer spent the following three years in a military academy-like company of cadets in Olomouc (Olmütz). After enlisting he spent seven years as ''Cadet'' (officer in training) and the following six as ''Fähnrich'' (officer candidate). The pileus is the technical name for the cap, or cap-like part, of a basidiocarp or ascocarp (fungal fruiting body) that supports a spore-bearing surface, the hymenium.Moore-Landecker, E: "Fundamentals of the Fungi", page 560. Neoboletus Luridiformis
''Neoboletus praestigator'', also previously known as ''Neoboletus luridiformis'', ''Boletus luridiformis'' and (invalidly) as ''Boletus erythropus'', is a fungus of the bolete family, all of which produce mushrooms with tubes and pores beneath their caps.
