Suicide Society
''Suicide Society'' is the fifteenth album by the Canadian heavy metal band Annihilator. It was released on September 18, 2015 by UDR Music, and is the first album to feature guitarist and bandleader Jeff Waters performing lead vocals on all tracks since 1997's ''Remains'', due to the departure of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dave Padden in December 2014. It also marks the return of bassist Cam Dixon, who toured with the band from 1994 to 1995, as well as the addition of new guitarist Aaron Homma, both of whom are credited with providing backing vocals in the liner notes. On this album, Jeff Waters handled all instrumental work in the studio apart from the drums, played by returning drummer Mike Harshaw. The album marks the final studio appearance of Harshaw, who announced via his Facebook page in May 2016 that he had parted ways with the band in order to spend more time with his family and pursue other musical interests. Annihilator (band)
Annihilator is a Canadian thrash metal band founded in Ottawa in 1984. It is the highest-selling Canadian thrash metal group in history, having sold more than three million albums worldwide, although most sales have been generated outside of Canada. Along with Sacrifice, Voivod and Razor, Annihilator is known as one of the "big four" of Canadian thrash metal. They are also considered to be part of the "second wave" of thrash metal bands from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Annihilator has released seventeen studio albums and undergone many line-up changes. Waters is the only remaining original member, and assembles touring or session musicians to perform with him. Thrash Metal

Jeff Waters
Jeff Waters (born February 13, 1966) is a Canadian guitarist and the founder and bandleader of the metal band Annihilator. He was born and resides in Ottawa, Ontario. Waters has owned Watersound Studios Inc. since 1994 (where it was in Maple Ridge, British Columbia) and from 2003 until 2018, in Ottawa, Ontario, and now in the UK. Early life Water's father was in the military and his mother was a teacher. His family had houses in Ottawa and Camp Borden, Ontario as well as London, England. He took some classical and jazz guitar lessons at a young age. Waters has referred to Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Michael Schenker, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath as his early influences. ''Feast'' is the fourteenth album by the Canadian heavy metal band Annihilator, released on August 23, 2013 by UDR in Europe and August 27, 2013 in North America. The cover art of the album features Spanish model and presenter Pilar Rubio. The album is the final to feature vocalist Dave Padden, who parted ways with the band at the end of 2014, ending his decade-plus long tenure. The decision came after Padden became fed up with Annihilator's rigorous touring schedule that followed the album's release, leaving him wanting to spend more time with his family. ''Triple Threat'' is a box set by Canadian thrash metal band Annihilator, released on January 27, 2017. It consists of a studio album solely featuring acoustic versions of many of the band's songs from over the years, a live CD featuring their set from the Bang Your Head!!! festival in 2016 and special editions feature a live DVD or Blu-ray. ''Remains'' is the sixth studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Annihilator, released on July 21, 1997 by Music For Nations and CMC International. All instruments were performed by Jeff Waters following the dissolution of the previous line-up. However, John Bates and Dave Steele make an appearance on "No Love" on guitars and vocals respectively, with Steele also appearing on "Wind". The album features a more industrial-oriented sound and also features a drum machine. ''Remains'' was the last album for 18 years (until '' Suicide Society'') to feature lead vocals by Waters on an Annihilator album. Dave Padden
David James Padden (born February 13, 1976) is a Canadian musician, best known as the former vocalist and rhythm guitarist for thrash metal band Annihilator from 2003 to 2014. In 2006, Padden co-founded the industrial thrash metal band Silent Strain, performing only as the vocalist, although little is known about the current status of the band. Padden joined Canadian metal band Terror Syndrome as lead vocalist in 2008. On June 2, 2015, it was announced that Padden had resigned from Annihilator in December 2014. Padden currently works as a bartender in Nanaimo BC. Equipment Padden has been seen using the Explorer model guitar, made by RAN Guitars, at Annihilator live events and it has been assumed that he's recorded with these same guitars.
