Suhl (Werra)

	Suhl (Werra) Suhl is a river of Thuringia, Germany. It flows into the Werra near Berka/Werra. The river has its source in the municipality of Moorgrund, west of Etterwinden on the western slope of the Pfaffenberg. The Suhl then flows through Kupfersuhl, Ettenhausen an der Suhl, where it is crossed by the Werra railway, and the Lindigshof to Marksuhl. Between Ettenhausen and Lindigshof, the Suhl is dammed up in the Ettenhausen dam, which was built at the end of the 1980s. Marksuhl is the largest town in the Suhl valley. West of Marksuhl follow the villages of Wünschensuhl, Fernbreitenbach, Hausbreitenbach and Herda, all districts of the Werra-Suhl valley. In Hausbreitenbach the Suhl fed a pond which surrounded the former moated castle of . Below the Berka industrial estate the Suhl then flows into the Werra between Berka and Gerstungen. 	Marksuhl Marksuhl is a village and a former municipality in the Wartburgkreis district of Thuringia, Germany. Since July 2018, it is part of the municipality Gerstungen. In July 2018 the former municipalities of Marksuhl and Wolfsburg-Unkeroda were merged into Gerstungen. 	Herda Hereditary equine regional dermal asthenia (HERDA), also known as hyperelastosis cutis (HC), is an inherited autosomal recessive connective tissue disorder. It develops from a homozygous recessive mutation that weakens collagen fibers that allow the skin of the animal to stay connected to the rest of the animal. Affected horses have extremely fragile skin that tears easily and exhibits impaired healing. In horses with HC, the skin separates between the deep and superficial dermis. There is no cure. Most affected individuals receive an injury they cannot heal, and are euthanized. Managed breeding strategy is currently the only option for reducing the incidence of the disease. The disease is found primarily in the American Quarter Horse, specifically in cutting horse lines. Affected horses have been found to trace to the stallion Poco Bueno, or possibly, farther back to one of his ancestors.
