Suhani Pittie
Suhani Pittie (born 14 April 1981) is an Indian jewellery designer based in Hyderabad, India. She launched her own jewellery label, Suhani Pittie label in 2004. The World Gold Council has enlisted Pittie as one of the top 10 most inventive and ingenious jewellery designers in the world. Early life Born in Calcutta, India to a traditional business family, Suhani studied gemology at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, USA. One of three sisters, she is the youngest. At age 20, Suhani established her own training institute, teaching grading of diamonds and coloured stones. Her work earned her the ''SinGem Award for Excellence'' in the field of gemology. Gemological Institute Of America
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is a nonprofit institute based in Carlsbad, California. It is dedicated to research and education in the field of gemology and the jewelry arts. Founded in 1931, GIA's mission is to protect buyers and sellers of gemstones by setting and maintaining the standards used to evaluate gemstone quality. The institute does so through research, gem identification and diamond grading services and a variety of educational programs. Through its library and subject experts, GIA acts as a resource of gem and jewelry information for the trade, the public and media outlets. India Fashion Week
India Fashion Week is a bi-annual fashion week organized and promoted by the Fashion Design Council of India. It was sponsored by Wills Lifestyle from 2006–2014 before Amazon.in became the sponsor. The first event in 2000 featured the work of 33 designers. There were also over thirty presenters at the Spring Fashion Week in March 2013. In 2010, fire permits were not secured in time for the first day events which caused an extra day to be added to accommodate the presentations that had been cancelled on the first day. The WIFW autumn-winter 2014 started on 26 March 2014 with actress Shilpa Shetty walking the ramp wearing the collections of designer Tarun Tahiliani. The WIFW spring-summer 2015 event started on 8 October 2014 at New Delhi. The World Crafts Council AISBL (WCC-AISBL) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that was founded in 1964 to promote fellowship, foster economic development through income generating craft related activities, organize exchange programs, workshops, conferences, seminars, and exhibitions—and in general, to offer encouragement, help, and advice to the craftspersons of the world. Gaj Singh (born 13 January 1948) is an Indian politician who served as a member of the Indian parliament and High Commissioner of India. He has been the Maharaja of Jodhpur since 1952. Early years and accession Singh was born in Royal, Rajput Family. He is the son of Maharaja Hanwant Singh of Jodhpur by his first wife, Maharani Krishna Kumari of Dhrangadhra.
