Sug Jones
Robert Roosevelt Jones (September 9, 1907 – July 27, 1982), nicknamed "Sug", was an American Negro league first baseman in the 1930s. A native of Dubach, Louisiana, Jones played for the Little Rock Grays in 1932. In 11 recorded games, he posted 16 hits in 45 plate appearances. A first baseman, abbreviated 1B, is the player on a baseball or softball team who fields the area nearest first base, the first of four bases a baserunner must touch in succession to score a run. Dubach, Louisiana
Dubach is a town in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 961 at the 2010 census, an increase from 800 in 2000. Dubach High School, located centrally in the town, is noted for fielding good athletic teams in basketball and often defeats teams from much larger towns and cities. Jonesboro is a city located on Crowley's Ridge in the northeastern corner of the U.S. State of Arkansas. Jonesboro is one of two county seats of Craighead County.
