Sufi Paranja Katha (film)
''Sufi Paranja Katha'' is a Malayalam-language film directed by Priyanandanan based on K. P. Ramanunni's novel with the same title. Ramanunni himself wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film. Thampi Antony, Prakash Bare, and Sharbani Mukherjee did the main roles in this film. The film has been distributed by Central Pictures. It is widely regarded as one of the defining movies of the Malayalam New Wave. Plot This film is a narrative by Sufi, a Muslim scholar. Karthy belongs to a prestigious Hindu Tharavad. She falls in love with a Muslim trader named Mamootty and starts living in Mamootty's house after converting to Islam. But she doesn't give up her original beliefs of her original religion Hinduism. To save Karthy from the need to go to the temple, Mamootty builds one inside his house. Priyanandanan is an Indian Film Director, film and drama director from Kerala. His second movie, ''Pulijanmam,'' received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in 2006. Biography Priyanandanan is a native of Vallachira in Thrissur District, Kerala. Indrans is an Indian actor and former costume designer, who appears in Malayalam films.His mentor was Shiyas M S, a law college student. He started his film career as a costume designer and actor in 1981 and got a breakthrough in 1994 with the comedy movie '' CID Unnikrishnan B.A., B.Ed''. Indrans was popular for his comedy roles in the 1990s and 2000s. Kerala State Film Award For Best Lyrics
The Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist is an honour, begun in 1969, presented annually at the Kerala State Film Awards of India to a lyricist for best lyrics in a Malayalam film. Until 1997, the awards were managed directly by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of Kerala. Since 1998, the awards have been constituted by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, an autonomous, non-profit institution functioning under the Department of Cultural Affairs (Kerala). The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. International Film Festival Of Kerala
The International Film Festival of Kerala (abbreviated as IFFK) is a film festival held annually in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. This film festival started in 1996 and is hosted by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala.
