Abdullahi Sudi Arale () is a citizen of Somalia who was held for two and a half years in extrajudicial detention by the United States. Arale's transfer to the United States Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba, was confirmed on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Arale's capture was said to have occurred "in recent weeks". Arale was alleged to have helped courier weapons and explosives between al Qaeda elements in Pakistan and the horn of Africa. A Department of Defense spokesman said, "We believe him to be an extremely dangerous member of the al-Qaida network," ''Xinhua'' reports that American officials claimed Arale had held a leadership position in the Somali Council of Islamic Courts. Ahmed Sudi
Ahmed Sudi, also known as Sudi-yi (or Ahmed-i) Bosnawi, was a 16th-century Bosnian commentator under the Ottoman Empire. He was the author of several Ottoman Turkish commentaries on Persian classics such as the ''Masnavi'' of Rumi, the ''Gulistan'' and '' Bostan'' of Saadi Shirazi, and ''The Divān of Hafez''. According to Professor of Persian and Islamic studies Hamid Algar, Sudi is "perhaps the most prominent of all Ottoman Persianists". Biography Sudi was born at an unknown date in Sudići near Foča in eastern Bosnia (present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina). His place of birth provided for his ''nisba'' Sudi. The names of his parents and details of his relatives in general are unknown. Haji Sudi
Ahmed Warsama, more commonly known as Haji Sudi ( so, Xaaji Suudi Shabeel) was one of the leaders behind the Somali Dervish movement. He was also the movement's right-hand man and chief lieutenant till its demise in 1920. He is described as the Mullah's right hand in the earlier days of his rise. He hailed from the Adan Madoba sub-clan of the Habr Je'lo clan. Muse Sudi Yalahow ( so, Muuse Suudi Yalaxoow; Arabic: موسى سودي يالاهو) was a Trade Minister in the Transitional Government of Ali Mohammed Ghedi. He was dismissed in June 2006 after ignoring government requests to halt fighting with the Islamic Courts Union militia.
