Subir Al Cielo
''Subir Al Cielo'' (English: ''Climb To The Sky'') is the third studio album recorded by Puerto Rican boyband MDO. It was released by Sony Music Latin on October 31, 2000. Original member Anthony Galindo left the band shortly before, and members Pablo Portillo and Troy Tuminelli were hired to replace him. The album spawned the hit single " Te Quise Olvidar". It also featured three songs in English. MDO (band)
MDO is a Latin American pop/rock band, spun off in 1997 from the Latin American boy band once known as Menudo. The group's first line-up reunited for an international tour in 2015. Band history In the mid-1990s, Edgardo Diaz, Menudo's creator and director, sold the rights for the trademarked name Menudo to a Panamanian company. After the release and promotion of Menudo's album ''Tiempo De Amar'' in 1996, the remaining line-up formed MDO under the direction and production of Diaz at first. The members at the time were Abel Talamántez, Alexis Grullón, Anthony Galindo, Didier Hernández and Daniel René. Together they recorded the album '' MDO'' in 1997 (Gold Record). In 1999, they followed it with '' Un Poco Más''. The album featured two English songs, "Groove With Me Tonight" and "Fantasy", in an attempt to cross-over to the US market, this album hit Platinum in sales and took MDO to #1 in US Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. Pablo Portillo
Pablo Alberto Portillo Heredia (born April 8, 1984 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican singer and actor. Portillo was a member of Mexican group Liberacion and later a member of MDO., which was a new version of boy band Menudo. With MDO, Portillo toured across Latin America, the United States, and Mexico. Portillo was in MDO with Didier Hernández, Abel Talamantez and Alexis Grullon. During Portillo's time in MDO, the group achieved their most successful phase of the MDO era. Troy Curtis (born Troy Tuminelli, December 30, 1980) is an actor, singer, and entrepreneur. Early music career In 2000, he joined the well-known boy band Menudo as the first non-Spanish speaking member, during their MDO era, under the name Troy Kurtis.
