Subhadra Adhikari
Subhadra Adhikari (1947/1948 - 2019) was a Nepali actress of film, stage and television. She was also a singer. In a career spanning six decades, she acted in more than a hundred feature films, and dozens of stage plays and television soap operas. Her debut film was '' Manko Bandh''. Other notable films include '' Chino'', ''Kanyadan'', ''Basudev'', '' Basanti'', ''Muna Madan'', ''Swarga'', '' Saubhagya'' and '' Bato Muniko Phool'', among others. ''Basudev'' is a 1984 Nepali language film, adapted from Dhruba Chandra Gautam's '' Kattel Sarko Chotpatak'' by Neer Shah in his directorial debut. The film starred Harihar Sharma as the eponymous character, with Shakuntala Sharma, Subhadra Adhikari, Krishna Malla, Sharmila Malla and director Shah himself in supporting roles, while Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya were credited as guest actors. Bidya Devi Bhandari (, ; born 19 June 1961) is a Nepali politician who is serving as the second and current president of Nepal. She formerly served as the minister of defence and minister of environment and population. She is the first woman to hold the office in the country. She served as the vice-chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and was the chair of the All Nepal Women's Association before being elected president.
