Suat İrfan Günsel (born 3 August 1952) is a Turkish Cypriot property developer, businessman and founder and 100% owner of Cyprus's private Near East University. In 2011, Forbes ranked him as the second richest person in Cyprus and the 1,140th richest person in the world with a net worth of $1 billion. Early life His father was İrfan Günsel, who died on 6 November 2015. He received a bachelor's degree in physics from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. Suat Derviş (1905–1972) was a Turkish novelist, journalist, and Activism, political activist, who was among the founders of the Socialist Women’s Association in 1970. Family and early career Suat Derviş was born in 1905 in Istanbul. She was born into an aristocratic family. Her father, İsmail Derviş, was a gynecologist, and a professor at the Medical Faculty of Istanbul University. Her mother, Hesna Hanım, was the daughter of a slavery, slave girl in the entourage of Ottoman Empire, Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz of the Ottoman Empire, Abdülaziz. Suat Atalık (born October 10, 1964) is a Turkish-Bosnian chess grandmaster. He is a three-time Turkish Chess Champion. Chess career He was born in Turkey in 1964, represented Turkey in the World Junior Chess Championship in 1983, and was their top board for several Chess Olympiads. Ali Suat Hayri Ürgüplü (13 August 1903, Damascus, Ottoman Empire – 26 December 1981, Istanbul, Turkey) was a Turkish politician who served a brief term as Prime Minister of Turkey in 1965. He was also the last Prime Minister to be born outside the territory of present-day Turkey, being born in Damascus, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire. Suat Kılıç (born 23 July 1972) is a Turkish lawyer, journalist, and politician. He is the former Minister of Youth and Sports, serving in the third cabinet of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
