Støvring is a town in Rebild municipality in Region Nordjylland in the geographic region of the Jutland peninsula known as ''Himmerland'' in northern Denmark. The town has a population of 9,089 (2022), and is one of the centres of industry and retailing in the area. It is the municipal seat of Rebild municipality. Støvring is the 8th biggest town/city in Region Nordjylland. Støvring is served by Støvring railway station, located on the Randers–Aalborg railway line. It is located 21 km from Aalborg and 37 km from Aars History In 1682 the village consisted of 12 farms and 8 houses without land. Støvring railway station is a railway station serving the railway town of Støvring in Himmerland south of Aalborg, Denmark. The station is located on the Randers-Aalborg Line from Randers to Aalborg and is part of the Aalborg Commuter Rail service. The station opened in 1869, closed in 1974, and reopened in 2003. The train services are currently operated by the railway companies DSB and Nordjyske Jernbaner. Hydrema
Hydrema is a dump truck manufacturer based in Støvring, Denmark, founded in 1959. They have specialized in the manufacture of articulated light dump trucks and earth moving equipment. A variety of models are produced, with a payload of up to 20 tonnes. Since 1996 they are also producing a mine clearing vehicle. A company subsidiary with production is operating in Weimar, Germany. History In 1959 Aksel Kyed and Kjeld W. Jensen started the company "Kyed and Werner Jensen", which at that time were involved in two different projects, district heating and the fabrication of hydraulic digging equipment. In 1960 the company was split, and Kjeld W. Jensen started Hydrema. Back then the headquarters were placed in Aalborg. In 1962 the company moved to Støvring. Michael Silberbauer
Michael Silberbauer (born 7 July 1981) is a Danish football manager and former professional player. He is currently the manager of FC Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie. Silberbauer played more than a 100 games for each Danish club Aalborg BK and FC Copenhagen, winning three Danish Superliga titles with FC Copenhagen. He was capped 25 times for the Denmark national football team, scoring a single goal. Danes and descendants of emigrants have celebrated the U.S. Independence Day with barbecues, square dancing and country music outside Rebild, a village 155 miles northwest of Copenhagen. The land that today comprises Rebild National Park, south of Aalborg, was bought by Americans of Danish descent and donated to the people and nation of Denmark with a single codicil- that July 4 be celebrated there every year. Aalborg Commuter Rail ( da, Aalborg Nærbane) is a commuter rail service in and near Aalborg, Denmark. The service started in 2003 and is operated by the Danish State Railways. Himmerland
Himmerland is a peninsula in northeastern Jutland, Denmark. It is delimited to the north and the west by the Limfjord, to the east by the Kattegat, and to the south by the Mariager Fjord. The largest city is Aalborg; smaller towns include Hobro, Aars, Løgstør, Støvring and Nibe.
