Stéphanie Alenda
Stéphanie Alenda is a French sociologist known by her book, articles and columns about Chilean right-wing, field in which she has stood out for researching about the three main «sensibilities» within the sector: the «social», the «subsidiary» and the « ultraliberal», as reflected in «The Chilean right in times of change». Dr. Alenda has made most of her career in Chile, where she founded the School of Sociology at Andrés Bello National University (UNAB) in 2009. She is currently the Chair of the Research Committee on Political Sociology of the International Sociological Association (ISA) and the International Political Science Association (IPSA) (2018−2023). Subsidiarity
Subsidiarity is a principle of social organization that holds that social and political issues should be dealt with at the most immediate or local level that is consistent with their resolution. The ''Oxford English Dictionary'' defines subsidiarity as "the principle that a central authority should have a subsidiary function, performing only those tasks which cannot be performed at a more local level". The concept is applicable in the fields of government, political science, neuropsychology, cybernetics, management and in military command (mission command). The OED adds that the term "subsidiarity" in English follows the early German usage of ''"Subsidiarität"''. Cairn
A cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones raised for a purpose, usually as a marker or as a burial mound. The word ''cairn'' comes from the gd, càrn (plural ). Canal 13 is a Chilean free-to-air television channel. It was launched on 21 August 1959, on VHF channel 2 of Santiago, in a broadcast led by a group of engineers from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
