Stunt Pilot (roller Coaster)
Stunt Pilot is a steel roller coaster at Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho. The single-rail Raptor model was manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction, who is headquartered 20 minutes south of the park. Its stunt pilot theme pays homage to the daily air shows that were once hosted at the park from 1988 to 1996. Stunt Pilot opened to the public on May 29, 2021. History Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) was originally hired by Kentucky Kingdom amusement park to design and manufacture a single-rail roller coaster in time for the park's 2021 season. Permits were filed with the FAA, which were uncovered by the public in June 2020 following a series of intentional leaks by the park on social media. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, Kentucky Kingdom backed out of the project, and its FAA filing was officially withdrawn in December 2020. Alan Schilke
Alan Schilke is an engineer and roller coaster designer based in Hayden, Idaho, United States. He first made his mark on the industry by designing the 4th Dimension roller coaster, X2, while working with Arrow Dynamics. Schilke now works as a design engineer at Ride Centerline LLC and occasionally works with Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC). Career Schilke worked with Arrow Dynamics for many years working his way up to the role of head engineer. During his time at Arrow Dynamics, Schilke was credited as the designer of '' Road Runner Express'' at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and '' Tennessee Tornado'' at Dollywood. Around the same time, Schilke came up with the concept of the 4th Dimension roller coaster. Six Flags Fiesta Texas, formerly known simply as Fiesta Texas, is a theme park located in Northwest San Antonio. Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, built by Rocky Mountain Construction and opened on May 12, 2018. The roller coaster is themed to the DC Comics character, Wonder Woman. Tremors is a wooden roller coaster located at Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho. It features four underground tunnels, the first of which goes under the ride's gift shop. The initial ride concept was developed by park owner and founder, Gary Norton, after the success of the parks first wooden coaster, Timber Terror. The design was finalized by Custom Coasters International, and the ride was constructed in house by the park. The ride features a loose earthquake theme, which is visible in the ride's station and gift shop. This theme was later extended to the Aftershock roller coaster next door when it opened in 2008.
