Geography The suburb is bordered to the west and north by the Coomera River, to the east by the Pacific Motorway and to the south by Universal Street, Binstead Way, Kopps Road and the Gaven Arterial Road. The western edge of the suburb is also bordered by the Coomera River, which can only be crossed via the Coomera River causeway. Tamborine-Oxenford Road (State Route 95) runs through from west to north-east. The neighbourhood of Studio Village is the south of the suburb (). It is adjacent to Wet'n'Wild Water World and Warner Bros. Movie World. the subdivision's name itself was inspired by Movie World. Helensvale Railway Station
Helensvale railway station is a major public transport interchange in the Gold Coast suburb of Helensvale. Helensvale railway station is served by the Queensland Rail Citytrain network Gold Coast line, G:link light rail and Surfside Buslines bus services. History Helensvale station opened on 25 February 1996 as the terminus of the Gold Coast line from Beenleigh. The line was later extended to Nerang on 16 December 1997. When opened, Helensvale station was also served by a CountryLink road coach service from Murwillumbah, this was diverted when the line was extended south. Gold Coast Railway Line
The Gold Coast railway line is an interurban railway line operated by Queensland Rail in Queensland, Australia, connecting Brisbane with the Gold Coast. The line currently includes stops at 17 stations. In 2021, a journey from Central station to the terminus of this line is scheduled to take 1 hour 23 minutes. History In January 1904, a horse broke free near the station and was killed after being carried by the engine over the railway bridge. After a requests request for a weigh bridge by the Coomera Progress Association in 1907, one was promised by the Commissioner for Railways in 1922. The Goods shed was damaged by fire in August 1922. The safe was stolen in August 1937, before being found submerged in a creek at Kingston. A 25 year old labourer was charged and later sentenced to three years imprisonment with hard labour.
