''Studio 2 LIVE'' was a New Zealand children's television show. It was originally named ''Studio 2'' up until 2010, when it was renamed Studio 2 LIVE. It premiered on 22 March 2004 after ''WNTV'' (''What Now''s afternoon show) was cancelled. It screened weekdays on TV2. The series ended on 1 October 2010. Matthew Phillip "Matt" Gibb (born 15 January 1981) is a television presenter in Auckland, New Zealand. He is best known for presenting the children's television show ''Studio 2 (New Zealand), Studio 2'' from 2004 until 2010. In 2015 Gibb was also a regular presenter for a segment on ''Kiwi Living'', a New Zealand lifestyle television programme. The first season of ''New Zealand Idol'' was produced by Fremantle Media subsidiary Grundy Television in association with UK company 19TV, and was broadcast on TVNZ in the early half of 2004. ''New Zealand Idol'', also known as ''NZ Idol'', was the New Zealand version of the Idol series originated as the hit British TV series ''Pop Idol''. Dayna Vawdrey (born 17 January 1982), is a New Zealand television presenter and radio announcer perhaps best known for her role co-hosting ''Studio 2''. Early life Vawdrey was born in Auckland of British (mother) and Samoan (father) descent. As a child she landed a role in a TV commercial. Career Vawdrey's career really began when she secured a presenting role on Juice TV in 2003. In 2004 she was poached by TVNZ to co-host TV2's children's TV show, ''Studio 2''.
