The John Hancock Student Village or (StuVi) is a large residential and recreational complex at Boston University, covering between Buick Street and Nickerson Field, ground formerly occupied by a National Guard Armory, which had been used by the University primarily (but not exclusively) as a storage facility prior to its demolition and the start of construction. The John Hancock Student Village was designed with the intention of fostering community and bridging the divide between East and West campuses. The student residences at 10 Buick Street (often abbreviated to "StuVi" by students) opened to juniors and seniors in the fall of 2000. 10 Buick Street houses 817 residents in apartment-style living. Turku Student Village ( fi, Turun ylioppilaskylä, abbreviated , sv, Studentbyn) is the largest single student housing complex in Finland. It houses nearly 3,500 residents in 95 three-storied tenements. The Student Village is located in the district of Nummi near the city centre of Turku. It is in the immediate proximity of the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University and the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. There is one shop in the area, plus several day care centres, schools, a cemetery and a Lutheran church. The area offers good opportunities for both outdoor and indoor sports, as there are hiking trails and facilities for activities such as swimming, tennis, volleyball and basketball among other things. Cheney Student Village is one of the nine halls of residence at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. Located on Cheney Lane in Headington, a few minutes walk away from the Gipsy Lane campus, it houses 750 students in single study bedrooms with en suite shower rooms and self catered kitchens. Hendrefoilan is an area in Swansea, South Wales. The area overlaps northwest Sketty and east Killay communities. The western part is often known as ''Student Village'' which lies is on the west bank of the Olchfa Stream, in the suburb of Killay. It is part of a Satellite Campus of Swansea University. The Studentendorf (student village) Schlachtensee is a heritage listed building complex of residential and community buildings in Berlin.
