"Stuck Like Glue" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music duo Sugarland. It was released July 26, 2010 as the first single from their album ''The Incredible Machine (album), The Incredible Machine'', released October 19, 2010. "Stuck Like Glue" debuted at number 44 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart for the week of August 7, 2010, and debuted at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 the following week. It went on to sell 2,629,000 digital copies by May 2013. The song was written by Jennifer Nettles, Kristian Bush, Kevin Griffin and Shy Carter. Content The song is in the key of D-flat major, using a main pattern of D5-A5-Gsus2 on the verses. The narrator sings that she and her lover are "stuck like glue". Some stations have edited out the song's reggae bridge and/or a portion near the end in which Nettles' backing vocals are Auto-Tuned. Sugarland
Sugarland is an American country music duo founded in Atlanta, Georgia. The duo consists of singer-songwriters Jennifer Nettles (lead vocals) and Kristian Bush (vocals, guitar, mandolin). They were founded in 2002, at which point Kristen Hall (vocals, guitar) was also a member. All three had experience in folk rock: Nettles had recorded in the groups Soul Miner's Daughter and Jennifer Nettles Band, Bush had recorded two albums as one-half of the duo Billy Pilgrim, and Hall had recorded two solo albums. After Hall left in 2006, Nettles and Bush continued as a duo. Signed to Mercury Nashville Records in 2004, Sugarland recorded four studio albums, one Christmas album, and one live album for that label between then and 2010. D-flat major (or the key of D-flat) is a major scale based on D, consisting of the pitches D, E, F, G, A, B and C. Its key signature has five flats. It is enharmonically equivalent to C-sharp major. The D-flat major scale is: : Its relative minor is B-flat minor. It was first released to iTunes in April 2012 and then to radio on August 6, 2012 as the first single from their extended play ''It'z Just What We Do''. It was written by group members Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard with Joey Moi, Chase Rice, and Jesse Rice (no relation). It is included on their first album for Republic Nashville, '' Here's to the Good Times'', released on December 4. "Cruise" is the best-selling country digital song of all time in the United States as of January 2014. The song is considered the foremost example of the genre of country music termed "bro-country".
