Stuart School Of Business
The Stuart School of Business (often just Stuart or Stuart School) is an academic unit of the Illinois Institute of Technology, a private Ph.D.-granting technological university. Stuart offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and non-degree programs, as well as graduate certificate programs. In addition to the MBA and MPA, Stuart offers Master of Science programs in Marketing Analytics, Sustainability Management, and Finance. Stuart also offers dual degrees with Chicago-Kent College of Law, Institute of Design and the College of Science. Stuart also offers a Doctoral program in Management Science with concentrations in Finance and Operations. Carl Spetzler is an American businessman, author, and academic. He is known for his research, publications, and expertise in the fields of decision quality and decision theory. Education Spetzler holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA and Ph.D. in economics and business administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Career Spetzler’s interest in decision quality began at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) at Stanford University (now known as SRI International), where he worked with decision theory pioneer Ronald A. Howard. While at SRI, Spetzler was instrumental in helping client Merrill Lynch establish their Cash Management Account (CMA) product in 1977. The Center for Sustainable Enterprise (CSE) is one of four academic and research centers at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Stuart School of Business (SSB) in the city of Chicago. CFA Institute Research Challenge
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition in equity research hosted by the CFA Institute started in 2007. The competition provides university students with hands-on training and mentoring in financial analysis. Students assume the role of a research analyst and are scored based on their ability to value a stock, write an initiation-of-coverage report, and present their recommendations. The competition is split by 3 geographical regions, Asia Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate. Teams begin in local competitions, from which winners advance to regional competitions. A final competition held in April identifies the winning team at the global level.
