Stuart Nicholson (born 1975) is an English organist. Life and career Born in Essex, Stuart graduated from the Royal College of Music (RCM) as an Associate of the RCM in organ performance in 1997 where he was a pupil of John Birch. While a student at the RCM he was the recipient of organ scholarships from St Paul's Cathedral, St Bride's Church St Bride's Church is a church in the City of London, England. Stuart Ian Nicholson (born 3 February 1987) is a former professional footballer, currently living in Melbourne, Australia and last played for Springvale City FC. Stuart was also a former England Under-19 international Career West Bromwich Albion Nicholson, made his debut for West Bromwich Albion on 17 January 2006, coming on as an extra-time substitute in a 3–2 FA Cup defeat away at Reading. Stuart Nicholson (born 8 January 1948) is a British jazz historian, biographer, music critic, journalist, and academic. A recognized expert on the history of jazz, he has penned several books on jazz history and several biographies on jazz luminaries, including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Duke Ellington. The author of numerous articles on jazz in newspapers, magazines and academic publications, he has taught as a visiting professor on the faculty of the Leeds College of Music and as a guest lecturer at multiple institutions internationally. Stuart Nicholson (Royal Navy Officer)
Stuart Nicholson (October 11, 1865 – September 10, 1936) was an officer of the Royal Navy who achieved the rank of admiral. He was involved in many international campaigns during his naval service from 1878 through 1920. From 1903-1905 he was Assistant-Director of the Naval Intelligence Department. In 1911-1912 he served as Chief of Staff to Admiral Sir Edmund Poë, Commander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet. During World War I he was a rear admiral in the Home Fleet and commanded the 6th Battle Squadron. The recipient of several medals and honors, he was named a Member of the Royal Victorian Order by King Edward VII in 1908. Career A graduate of the Royal Naval School, Nicholson began his career in the Royal Navy in 1878. For his service during the Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882 he was awarded the Egypt Medal and the Khedive's Star. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant on April 11, 1885. Galahad are an English progressive rock band formed in 1985. They have released 11 studio albums, 6 live albums and 3 rarities collections as well as a couple of offshoot project albums in the guise of the Galahad Acoustic Quintet and the Galahad Electric Company. Over the last 38 years they have played with the likes of Pendragon, IQ and Twelfth Night. Galahad have performed their own shows and at festivals in Europe and North America, and have sold tens of thousands of albums despite never having had a major record deal. All releases are on their own 'Avalon Records' imprint other than some re-issues which are released in association with Polish label 'Oskar Productions'.
