Stuart MacLeod (musician)
Stuart Leslie MacLeod (born 10 April 1977) is the guitarist and backup singer of the Australian band, Eskimo Joe. He lives in Fremantle, Western Australia. When he was seven he lived next door to Kavyen Temperley and they have been best friends for years. MacLeod and Temperley attended John Curtin Senior High School together. MacLeod then went on to study Engineering and Commerce at the University of Western Australia. In 1997 MacLeod started jamming with Temperley, who was in a band, Freud's Pillow. MacLeod co-wrote several Freud's Pillow's songs. The pair decided to form a new band and auditioned a few drummers before settling on Joel Quartermain, who was a guitarist in Freud's Pillow, but had mentioned he also played drums. MacLeod and Temperley decided Quartermain was more musical than any other drummer they had auditioned. They then entered the band, Eskimo Joe, into the Australian National Campus Band Competition. ARIA Music Awards

Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition
The Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition is an annual competition that "acknowledges great songwriting whilst supporting and raising money for Nordoff-Robbins" and is coordinated by Albert Music and APRA AMCOS. The competition awards a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and was named after iconic writers Harry Vanda and George Young, known as Vanda & Young. The competition is Australia's most prestigious and lucrative songwriting competition. Steve Parkin (musician)
Steve Parkin is an Australian musician and singer-songwriter. Born in United Kingdom and raised in Perth. He is a founder member of 1990s Perth garage pop three-piece, Autopilot, who released two EPs, ''Pure Gold Baby'' in 1998 and ''Out of the Sun'' in 2001. He was also a band member of Basement Birds. He co-wrote material for Eskimo Joe's 2009 album '' Inshalla'', which peaked at number one on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Albums Chart. "Foreign Land" is a song by Australian rock band, Eskimo Joe. It was released in April 2009 as the lead single from their fourth studio album '' Inshalla''. The song was the most added song on Australian radio in April 2009, and peaked at number 13 on the ARIA Charts and was certified gold. The single contains elements of traditional Turkish folk music from Adiyaman, Turkey. The song was written as a tribute to Australian actor Heath Ledger, who died in January 2008. The song placed second in the 2009 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition. At the APRA Music Awards of 2010, the song won Most Played Australian Work and Rock Work of the Year.
