Strømsgodset IF
Strømsgodset IF is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Gulskogen in Drammen. It has sections for association football, handball and bandy, but is best known for the top-level football section known as Strømsgodset Toppfotball, which plays in Eliteserien, the Norwegian top flight. The club was founded 10 February 1907, but the football team first found success in the late 1960s and early 1970s, winning a league title and three cups. The famous team from the 1960s and 1970s was popularly known as the "Rødgata Boys", after the street most of them lived on. Most of these players were also accomplished bandy players, and Strømsgodset won four national Norwegian Championships in "the winter version of football". Thorodd Presberg
Thorodd Presberg (born 18 January 1944 in Drammen) is a Norwegian former football and bandy player. He played football for Drafn from 1960 to 1963 and for Strømsgodset from 1963 till 1973. He played 234 top class games, scoring 125 goals, and he won three Norwegian cup championships and one league championship. He also played four matches and scored one goal for the Norwegian national team. The Norwegian Football Cup ( no, Norgesmesterskapet i fotball for herrer) is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. It is run by the Football Association of Norway and has been contested since 1902, making it the oldest football tournament in the country. The tournament is commonly known as ''Cupen'' ("The Cup"), NM or NM Cup (''NM Cupen''), an acronym formed from ''Norgesmesterskap'' ("Norwegian Championship"). Inge Thun
Inge Thun (17 June 1945 − 15 February 2008) was a Norwegian football goalkeeper and bandy winger who played for Strømsgodset IF in both sports. He finished his football career with a few seasons across the river at Drammens Ballklubb. He won the Norwegian football league with Strømsgodset in 1970 as well the Cup in 1969, 1970 and 1973. He also became Norwegian bandy champion six times with Strømsgodset and won a silver medal in the 1965 Bandy World Championship with the national team. Thun became famous in England when his team lost 0-11 to Liverpool in the 1975 Cup Winners' Cup. Inge Thun died on 15 February 2008, after suffering a stroke. Gulskogen
Gulskogen is a borough in Drammen, Viken, Norway. Gulskogen has a population of 3,856 inhabitants (2005). Strømsgodset was the name of the parish from early times. Strømsgodset was a separate municipality which in 1964 became part of Drammen. The district takes its name from the historic Gulskogen Manor (''Gulskogen gård'').
