Mark Streit
Mark Thomas Streit (born 11 December 1977) is a Swiss former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was formerly the captain of both the New York Islanders and the Swiss national team. Streit was one of the few swingmen in the NHL who could play both as a defenceman and as a forward. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2020. He was featured on the front cover of the Swiss versions of the ''NHL'' series of hockey games, from ''NHL 08'' to ''NHL 11''. Albert Streit (born Albert Ursachi 28 March 1980 in Bucharest) is a Romanian-German former professional footballer. Career Streit signed a three-year contract with Eintracht Frankfurt following the relegation of his previous team, 1. FC Köln, on 9 May 2006. At the end of the season of 2006–07, he announced that had come to an agreement about his move to Schalke. Eintracht manager Friedhelm Funkel benched him for a few matches, arguing Streit was not training well. After an accord between Streit and Eintracht executive Heribert Bruchhagen he would have been allowed to move to Schalke if Streit would play hard in the final matches. Georgios Streit
Georgios Streit ( el, Γεώργιος Στρέιτ; 1868–1948) was a Greek lawyer and professor. A legal advisor to King Constantine I, Streit was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1913–14, on the eve of World War I. Later, he served as a Judge at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague after 1929. Early life and family Born in Patras, Greece in 1868, Streit was the son of law professor Stefanos Streit and his wife Victoria Lontou. He was the third generation born in Greece of a German family. Christian Streit White (March 10, 1839 – January 28, 1917) was an American military officer, lawyer, court clerk, pisciculturist, and politician in the U.S. states of Virginia and West Virginia. During the American Civil War, White served as a sergeant major and captain in the Confederate States Army and headed a bureau of the Confederate States Department of the Treasury. White served under the commands of Stonewall Jackson and Jubal Early and was responsible for the safekeeping of Hampshire County's land registration records from destruction by Union Army forces. From 1864 to 1865, White was in command of Company C of the 23rd Virginia Volunteer Cavalry Regiment. Esther Streit-Wurzel ( he, אֶסְתֵּר שְטְרייט-ווֹרְצֶל; July 25, 1932, − December 7, 2013) was an Israeli children's author and educator. Streit-Wurzel was born in Petach Tikva, Central District, in Mandatory Palestine. Her father, Shalom Streit, was an educator who founded Ahad Ha'am Gymnasium in Petach Tikvah. She wrote her first book at age 12, in 1944, under the pen name Zvi Hadas, as she was too shy to credit herself with her work. She graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1952, with a degree in literature and psychology. Apart from writing, she was also an educator. Roberto Streit (born 17 November 1983, in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian racing driver. Career Formula Renault Streit debuted in 2001 in Formula Chevrolet Brazil. His first season was a very successful one, with Streit dominating the championship, and winning the title comfortably. That year, he also won the Italian Formula Renault Winter Series. The following season, Streit competed in both the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, and Formula Renault 2.0 Italy championships for Cram Competition. Marlene Stewart Streit, (born March 9, 1934) is a Canadian amateur golfer, and a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. She was born in Cereal, Alberta. She learned golf from Gordon McInnis Sr. at the Lookout Point Golf Club in Fonthill, Ontario. She is the most successful Canadian amateur female golfer, and the only golfer in history to have won the Australian, British, Canadian and U.S. Women's Amateurs. She graduated from Rollins College in 1956 and won the national individual intercollegiate golf championship that same year. Streit was a member of the Canadian team at the Espirito Santo Trophy in 1966, 1970, 1972, and 1984. She owns a home in Wellington, Florida. Jindřich Štreit (born 5 September 1946 in Vsetín) is a Czech photographer and pedagogue known for his documentary photography. He concentrates on documenting the rural life and people of Czech villages. He is considered one of the most important exponents of Czech documentary photography. Biography Štreit began taking photographs in 1964, during his studies at the Pedagogical Faculty of Palacký University in Olomouc.
