Streetsville GO Station
Streetsville GO Station is a GO Transit railway station on the Milton line in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the community of Streetsville in Mississauga. Like most GO stations, Streetsville offers parking for commuters, a bus loop, a station building housing ticket sales and a waiting room. There is limited external exposed shelter for bus passengers. A new lot with 135 additional spaces was constructed in 2015. Although ridership on the Milton line has grown beyond GO's expectations, it is not possible to run more trains because the tracks are already busy with Canadian Pacific Railway freight traffic. In order to increase capacity, GO plans to extend the platforms to accommodate trains with twelve carriages rather than the current ten. As a temporary solution, extensive train-bus services help alleviate congestion. Galt Subdivision
Canadian Pacific's Galt Subdivision is Canadian Pacific's 114.6 mile long section of its Montréal-Detroit freight corridor. It is located in Southern Ontario, Canada. Getting its name from the historic City of Galt (now the City of Cambridge) that it passes through, the track runs from the bustling hub of Toronto, Ontario, to London, Ontario. GO Transit's Milton GO train service operates on this line from Toronto Union Station to Milton GO station. The rest of the line plays host to mixed freight and intermodal traffic, from Toronto to termini like Detroit, and Chicago. The Credit Valley Railway was a railway located in Ontario, Canada from Toronto to St. Thomas. Chartered in 1871 by Ontario railway magnate George Laidlaw, it operated as an independent company until 1883 when it was leased by the Ontario and Quebec Railway, a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) operating company building a network of lines in southern Ontario. The section from Toronto to Woodstock remains in use as the CPR mainline through Ontario, forming portions of what is now the Galt and Windsor Subdivisions. MiWay (pronounced "my way"; stylized miWAY), also known as Mississauga Transit and originally as Mississauga Transit Systems, is the municipal public transport agency serving Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and is responsible to the city's Transportation and Works Department. Dixie GO Station
Dixie GO Station is a GO Transit railway station on the Milton line in the Dixie neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 2445 Dixie Road, just south of Dundas Street East. Like most GO stations, Dixie offers parking facilities for commuters, and allows for wheelchair-accessible train services through a raised mini-platform giving access to the 5th carriage from the locomotive; it is one of the only three stations on the Milton Line (excluding Union Station) that offer the mini-platform. The station building houses a ticket sales agent and a waiting room. Mississauga ( ), historically known as Toronto Township, is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario.
