''Street Dance of China'' (''SDC''; Chinese language, simplified Chinese: 这！就是街舞; Traditional Chinese characters, traditional Chinese: 這！就是街舞; pinyin: Zhè! Jiùshì jiēwǔ) is a Chinese dance competition show produced by Youku, Tmall, and Master, and co-produced with Canxing. It was first broadcast on Youku's online platform on February 24, 2018. The format of the program is a street dance selection reality show, the hip-hop champions are selected through auditions, individual battles and group battles. Huang Zitao (; born May 2, 1993), also known as Tao, is a Chinese rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, model, and businessman. Huang is a former member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo and its Chinese sub-unit, Exo-M. Popping is a street dance adapted out of the earlier Boogaloo (funk dance) cultural movement in Oakland, California. Krumping is a style of street dance popularized in the United States, described as Afro-diasporic dance, characterized by free, expressive, exaggerated, and highly energetic movement. Dancers who started krumping saw the dance as a means for them to escape gang life and "to express raw emotions in a powerful but non-violent way." Waacking
Waacking (also ''whacking'', ''posing'' or ''punking'') is a form of street dance created in the LGBT clubs of Los Angeles during the 1970s disco era. The style is typically done to 70s disco music and is mainly distinguishable by its rotational arm movements, posing and emphasis on expressiveness. History In the early 1970s a dance style known as punking emerged, with "punk" being a derogatory term for gay men at the time. The term "whack" was a specific movement within the punking style which involved moving the arms over the head in a rhythmic fashion.
