Straßberg, Saxony-Anhalt
Straßberg is a village and a former municipality in the district of Harz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 August 2009, it is part of the town Harzgerode. Straßberg is located in southeastern part of the Harz mountains, 20 km south of Quedlinburg, 22 km northeast of Nordhausen and 23 km northwest of Sangerhausen. History Straßberg was mentioned for the first time in the chronicle for the district of Sangerhausen in 1194 as ''Strazberc''. From 1400 mining became the main livelihood for the villagers of Straßberg. Today, they preserve its mining history and look after their history and conserve the village for those seeking relaxation the past. Even agriculture flourishes despite the rather difficult natural environment. On 1 August 2009 the municipality of Straßberg agreed with the towns of Güntersberge and Harzgerode as well as the villages of Dankerode, Königerode, Schielo and Siptenfelde to be incorporated into the new borough of Harzgerode.

Straßberg is a municipality of the Zollernalb district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. History From 1625 until 1803, when it was dissolved during German mediatization, Straßberg was a possession of Buchau Abbey. The County of Thurn und Taxis, which was first awarded the township, ceded it in 1806 to Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. In 1836, an was organized for the locality that was in 1854 merged into . In 1925, that district was dissolved and Straßberg was assigned to Landkreis Sigmaringen. Straßberg began a period of physical expansion in the 1950s to the south, and again in the 1970s to the east. Bobingen (Swabian: ''Boobenge'') is a town in Bavaria, Germany. It lies on the rivers Wertach and Singold, on the edge of the Augsburg-Westliche Wälder Nature Park, in Augsburg District, some 13 km south of Augsburg itself. History The placename "Bobingen" goes back to the Alamannic settler "Pobo" (''ca'' 506). About 993, Bobingen was called "Pobinga" ("at Pobo's people's house"). Also about 993 came Bobingen's first documentary mention in the ''Vita S. Udalrici''. Kehl-Strasbourg Radio Control Link
The Kehl-Straßburg radio control link was a German MCLOS radio control system of World War II. The system was named for Strasbourg, the French/German city on the Rhine and Kehl, at the time a suburb of Strasbourg. It was used by the Fritz X guided bomb and the Henschel Hs 293 guided missile, and would also be trialled in test of the Henschel Hs 298 MCLOS-guidance air-to-air missile. Description The generic term ''Funkgerät'', the source for the ''FuG'' prefix, translates directly into "radio equipment" in English (funk - radio; gerät - equipment), and also prefixed the designations of other various types of German military electronics, like the ''Lichtenstein'' and ''Neptun'' airborne intercept radar series, and the ''Erstling'' IFF radio gear, among others. Josef Straßberger
Josef Straßberger (August 20, 1894 – October 10, 1950) was a German Olympic weightlifting, weightlifter who competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics, 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics, 1932 Olympic games, Olympic Games. He won the gold medal in the heavyweight division in Amsterdam and the bronze medal in the same division in Los Angeles. He was born in Kolbermoor, Bavaria and died in Munich.
