Stratis (configuration Daemon)
Stratis is a user-space configuration daemon (computing), daemon that configures and monitors existing components from Linux's underlying storage components of logical volume management (LVM) and XFS filesystem via D-Bus. Details Stratis is not a user-level filesystem like the Filesystem in Userspace (FUSE) system. Stratis configuration daemon was originally developed by Red Hat to have feature parity with ZFS and Btrfs. The hope was due to Stratis configuration daemon being in userland, it would more quickly reach maturity versus the years of kernel level development of file systems ZFS and Btrfs. It is built upon enterprise-tested components LVM and XFS with over a decade of enterprise deployments and the lessons learned from System Storage Manager in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. This is a list of deities from the Greyhawk campaign setting for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game. A Al'Akbar Al'Akbar is the Baklunish demigod of dignity, duty, faithfulness, and guardianship. Agios Efstratios or Saint Eustratius ( el, Άγιος Ευστράτιος), colloquially Ai Stratis ( el, Άη Στράτης), anciently Halonnesus or Halonnesos ( grc, Ἁλόννησος), is a small Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea about southwest of Lemnos and northwest of Lesbos. The municipality has an area of 43.325 km2. Together with Lemnos and nearby islets it forms the regional unit of Lemnos, part of the Greek archipelagic region of the North Aegean. Name Anciently the island was known as Halonnesus, and under this name was a bone of contention between ancient Athens and Macedon as was noted in '' On the Halonnesus'', attributed to Demosthenes. Stratis Haviaras (June 28, 1935 – March 3, 2020) was a bilingual writer of literary works in English and Greek, known in the U.S. for his novels ''When the Tree Sings'' (shortlisted for the Natiοnal Book Award and named an ALA Notable book), and ''The Heroic Age''. Both were critically acclaimed in the American press, and were translated into many languages. He also founded and edited the literary journals ''Arion’s Dolphin, Erato'' and ''Harvard Review.'' Early life and education Haviaras’s parents were refugees from Asia Minor who settled in Nea Kios (Argos) when it was founded in 1927. As a child he experienced the horrors of World War II. When he was 9, the Nazis executed his father, Christos, for his participation in the resistance, while his mother, Georgia Hatzikyriakos, was sent to a concentration camp in Germany. Stratis Myrivilis
Efstratios Stamatopoulos (30 June 1890 – 19 July 1969) was a Greek writer. He is known for writing novels, novellas, and short stories under the pseudonym Stratis Myrivilis . He is associated with the "Generation of the '30s". He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature three times (1960, 1962, 1963). Biography Myrivilis was born in the village of Sykaminea (Συκαμινέα), also known as Sykamia (Συκαμιά), on the north coast of the island of Lesbos (then part of the Ottoman Empire), in 1890. There he spent his childhood years until, in 1905, he was sent to the town of Mytilene to study at the Gymnasium. In 1910 he completed his secondary education and took a post as a village schoolmaster, but gave that up after one year and enrolled at Athens University to study law. Stratis Paschalis ( el, Στρατής Πασχάλης) (b. Athens 1958) is a Greek poet, novelist and translator. He read Political Science at the Law School of the University of Athens. His first collection of poems was published in 1977 with the title Anaktoria from the publishing house Ikaros with the assistance of the poet Odysseas Elytis whose publisher this was. His "reach out" critical letter in 1976 to Elytis introducing himself and asking for help is within the documents and letters deposited within the archives at The American School of Classical Studies in Athens. Elytis has left most of his letters documents and partial manuscripts there until a certain timeframe.
