Isaac River
The Isaac River is a river and anabranch located in Central Queensland, Australia. Course The headwaters of the river rise south east of Glenden, Queensland and flow in a generally southern direction, crossing the Peak Downs Highway near Moranbah. It continues past Iffley and veers eastward at Leichhardt Downs forming a series of braided channels, and veers south east again and flows past the eastern edge of Junee State Forest and then discharges into the MacKenzie River of which it is a tributary. South Walker Creek Coal Mine
The South Walker Creek Coal Mine is a coal mine in Strathfield, Isaac Region, Central Queensland region of Australia. The mine has coal reserves amounting to 298 million tonnes of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves in Asia and the world. As at 2012, the mine had an annual production capacity of 3.6 million tonnes of coal. South Walker Creek mine is located 40 km west of Nebo within the Bowen Basin. Coppabella Coal Mine
The Coppabella Coal Mine is an open-cut coal mine located in Strathfield, Isaac Region, Central Queensland, Australia. It lies in the eastern part of the Bowen Basin near the towns of Nebo and Moranbah. The coal is dated to the Late Permian age and are located within the Rangal Coal Measures. The mine has coal reserves amounting to 227 million tonnes of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves supplying Asia and the world. The mine has an annual production capacity of 4.2 million tonnes of coal. The average seam thickness of about ten metres. The mine is jointly owned by Peabody Energy, CITIC Resources, Marubeni, Sojitz, Nippon Steel and others. Mining is conducted by dragline and pre-strip operation. Goonyella Railway Line
The Goonyella railway system is located in Central Queensland, Australia. It services the coal mining area of the Bowen Basin, carrying coal to the Hay Point and Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminals 20 km southeast of Mackay, as well as products to other destinations by way of connections to the North Coast Line at Yukan and the Central Line at Burngrove via the Gregory coal mine branch. It is also connected to the coal loading terminal at Abbot Point (20 km northwest of Bowen) by the GAP line. The line opened on 5 November 1971 and runs for 477 kilometres. A 200 km extension called the Carmichael Rail Network was built in 2021. The Goonyella system is narrow gauge and electrified using 25 kV 50 Hz. Fitzroy Developmental Road
The Fitzroy Developmental Road is a designated road in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland consisting of three separate sections. The general direction is from south to north. Route description Southern section The southern section leaves the Leichhardt Highway at a point north of Taroom as State Route 7. This section meets the Dawson Highway in the locality of Rhydding, east of Bauhinia. Middle section The middle section, as State Route 7, runs from Bauhinia north until it meets the Capricorn Highway about west of Duaringa, and east of Dingo. It passes through the Dawson Range State Forest between Woorabinda and Duaringa. Burdekin is an electoral district in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in the state of Queensland, Australia.
