The Division of Bendigo is an Australian electoral division in the state of Victoria. The division was proclaimed in 1900, and was one of the original 65 divisions to be contested at the first federal election. It is named for the city of Bendigo. The division is situated on the northern foothills of the Great Dividing Range in North Central Victoria. It covers an area of approximately and provides the southern gateway to the Murray–Darling basin. Bendigo ( ) is a city in Victoria, Australia, located in the Bendigo Valley near the geographical centre of the state and approximately north-west of Melbourne, the state capital. As of 2019, Bendigo had an urban population of 100,991, making it Australia's 19th-largest city, fourth-largest inland city and the fourth-most populous city in Victoria. Victory Christian College is an independent Christian Prep to Year 12 school located in south-east Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. The college is a member of Independent Schools Victoria and Christian Schools Australia. History Victory Christian College was opened in 1995 as a ministry expression of Victory Church, an apostolic church in Bendigo. Different Christian denominations are represented in the staff and committee of management. In late 2009, the campus was relocated just over a kilometre down the road and expanded.
