Strangers (video)
''Strangers'' is English rock band Keane's first musical-documentary DVD. It was named "Strangers" as their feelings before triumphing in music and as a reference to the song "We Might as Well Be Strangers" appearing on their debut album ''Hopes and Fears''. The discs contain a documentary narrated by Ed Roe, friend and photographer of Keane, and co-narrated by Keane. Band members talk about their feelings before being famous and how they succeed. Both DVDs contain Keane music and their videoclips, as well as live performances. Keane (band)
Keane are an English alternative rock band from East Sussex, formed in 1995. They met while at Tonbridge School together. The band currently comprises Tom Chaplin (lead vocals, electric/acoustic guitar), Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, synthesisers, bass guitar, backing vocals), Richard Hughes (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Jesse Quin (bass guitar, acoustic/electric guitar, backing vocals). Their original line-up included founder and guitarist Dominic Scott, who left in 2001. Keane achieved mainstream, international success with the release of their debut album ''Hopes and Fears'' in 2004. Topping the UK charts, the album won the 2005 Brit Award for Best British Album and was the second best-selling British album of 2004. It is one of the best-selling albums in UK chart history. Bedshaped
"Bedshaped" is a song by English rock band Keane, released as the third single from ''Hopes and Fears''. It became their third consecutive top-10 hit on the UK Singles Chart, after "Somewhere Only We Know" and "Everybody's Changing", peaking at number 10. The song also reached the top 20 in Denmark and the Netherlands. Background and meaning "Bedshaped" was composed in 2001 by Tim Rice-Oxley. It was originally released as a B-side on the Fierce Panda release of "Everybody's Changing" in May 2003. James Sanger is credited on this song as the fourth composer. Rice-Oxley posted an explanation of the song on the official message board: Composition The song is written in the key of E major, with a tempo of 76bpm. After a mysterious intro, a honky tonk-reminiscent piano completes the main riff, with an Emaj chord. The vocals are introduced 59 seconds in. ''Under the Iron Sea'' is the second studio album by the English rock band Keane, released on 12 June 2006. During its first week on sale in the UK, the album opened at number one, selling 222,297 copies according to figures from the Official Chart Company. "This Is the Last Time" is a song performed and composed by British rock band Keane, released on 22 November 2004 as the fourth commercial single from their debut album, ''Hopes and Fears'' (2004). It was first released with Fierce Panda Records on 13 October 2003 and later in 2004 as a different version with Island Records. It was released as track two of the international version, but track nine on the British version. The single reached number 18 on the UK chart in November 2004. Fierce Panda single The Fierce Panda version was the first Keane record released outside the UK and one of the few singles available in the United States.
