Stormwatch (album)
''Stormwatch'' is the twelfth studio album by progressive rock band Jethro Tull, released in September 1979. The album is often considered the last in a trio of folk rock albums released by the band at the end of the 1970s, alongside ''Songs from the Wood'' (1977) and ''Heavy Horses'' (1978). The album's themes deal mostly with the environment, climate and seaside living, and were heavily inspired by the Isle of Skye in Scotland, where frontman Ian Anderson had recently purchased property. ''Stormwatch'' was notably the last Tull album to feature the "classic" line-up of the 1970s, as drummer Barrie "Barriemore" Barlow and keyboardists John Evan and Dee Palmer all left or were fired from the band in the months after the album's tour concluded in April 1980, while bassist John Glascock died from heart complications in November 1979 during the tour. Stormwatch (comics)
Stormwatch is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by WildStorm, which later became an imprint of DC Comics. Created by Jim Lee, the team first appeared in ''Stormwatch'' #1 (March 1993). After the WildStorm imprint was retired and its universe was merged with the main DC Universe, the group was depicted as a secretive team of superheroes who tackle dangerous missions while remaining unknown to the larger superhero community. ''Storm Watch'' is a 2002 American science fiction film, directed by Terry Cunningham and starring Adrian Paul and Bai Ling. The music was composed by Sean Murray. The film centers on a protagonist who plays a virtual reality online game, which suddenly turns into a race against time to stop a weather satellite from destroying the world. The film was released on DVD and VHS under the title ''Code Hunter''. ''Storm Watch'' features special effect scenes reused from the films ''Virus'', '' End of Days'', and '' Set It Off''. Clips from ''Virus'' include the alien energy hitting the Russian ship (in Storm Watch, it is lightning hitting a decommissioned ship the Army uses for a target); and the "Sea Star" tug boat caught in the storm (shot to be a natural storm, in this film it is artificial).
