Storm Bull (October 13, 1913 – July 22, 2007) was an American musician, composer and educator. He was Professor Emeritus at the College of Music, University of Colorado at Boulder and Head of the Division of Piano. Background Johan Storm Bull, the only child of Eyvind Hagerup Bull (1882–1949) and Agnes Hagerup Bull (1885–1950), was born in Chicago, Illinois . His family heritage included the musical traditions of Norway. Both of Storm's grandfathers were nephews of the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull and were also first cousins of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. In 1919, Storm Bull began his formal musical training at the Laboratory Schools of the University of Chicago, the American Conservatory of Music, and the Chicago Musical College. Storm Bull (Wisconsin Engineer)
Storm Bull (October 20, 1856November 17, 1907) was a Norwegian American immigrant, engineer, and educator. He was the 33rd mayor of Madison, Wisconsin. Biography Storm Bull was born in Bergen, Hordaland, Norway. He was a nephew of the violinist Ole Bull. He was educated at the Polytechnic Institute in Zurich, Switzerland, where he graduated with a degree in engineering in 1877. He first arrived in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1879, where became a professor in the engineering department of the University of Wisconsin. He was subsequently appointed a professor in mechanical engineering and later professor in steam engineering. Storm Huntley (born 24 February 1987) is a Scottish television presenter. Early life and education Huntley's first name was chosen from a combination of her mother reading a novel where the lead had this name ('' A Sparrow Falls'' by Wilbur Smith) and an electrical storm outside on the day she was born. Storm Murphy (born January 3, 1999) is an American college basketball player for the Virginia Tech Hokies of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). He previously played for the Wofford Terriers. Early life and high school career Murphy attended Middleton High School in Middleton, Wisconsin. Storm James Roux ( ; born 13 January 1993) is a New Zealand international footballer who plays as a right back for A-League Men club Central Coast Mariners and the New Zealand national team. Storm Uru (born 14 February 1985) is a New Zealand rower. He is from Ngāi Tahu tribe. Uru was born in 1985 in Invercargill. His younger brother, Jade Uru, is also a rower. The broadcaster Tui Uru (1926–2013) was their great-aunt. Tui Uru's father, the Reform Party MP Henare Uru, was a great-grandfather to the rowers. Storm Willads Weinholdt (11 January 1920 – 17 March 1945) was a Norwegian resistance member who was executed during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany. He was born and lived in Oslo, at Kampen. During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, he became involved in Milorg, and was the deputy leader of District 13. On 13 February 1945, Weinholdt was going to plan a sabotage action, in his own home together with Adolf Bogstad and Frank Olsen. Before either of the three arrived, two Gestapo officers, one German and one Norwegian, arrived in the Weinholdt family's home to check on Storm's brother Kjell. Margaret Ethel Storm Jameson (8 January 1891 – 30 September 1986) was an English journalist and author, known for her novels and reviews and for her work as President of English PEN between 1938 and 1944.
