Swedish Ice Hockey Association
The Swedish Ice Hockey Association ( sv, Svenska Ishockeyförbundet (SIF)) in Swedish, is an association of Swedish ice hockey clubs. It was established in Stockholm on 17 November 1922 by representatives from seven clubs. Before then, organized ice hockey in Sweden had been administered by the Swedish Football Association. In 1920, Sweden became a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). In addition to ice hockey, SIF is also responsible for inline hockey. Hans Hjalmar "Tjalle" Mild (31 July 1934 – 23 December 2007) was a Swedish football, ice hockey and bandy player. Career Mild won Allsvenskan two times with Djurgårdens IF and capped 31 times for the national football team. In 1964, Mild won the Guldbollen as the best Swedish football player of the year. As an ice hockey player Mild played for IK Göta, Djurgårdens IF, and Hammarby IF and became Swedish champion six times. He also made 63 appearances in the national icehockey team and was a part of the silver winning team in the 1964 Winter Olympics. Sven Olof Lennart "Svenne Berka" Bergqvist (20 August 1914 – 16 December 1996) was a Swedish football and ice hockey player, known for representing Hammarby IF in both sports. He also played bandy and handball. Bergqvist is one of only three athletes that has competed in the highest Swedish division in four different sports. Early life Sven Bergqvist grew up in a working-class home in a southern part of Stockholm known as Södermalm. He had several siblings and frequently acted as a ball boy during the football matches of the local club Hammarby IF during his youth, studying his idol Victor Olsson. The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). First officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics, it is the sport's highest profile annual international tournament. Bo Ekelund
Bo Daniel Ekelund (26 July 1894 – 1 April 1983) was a Sweden, Swedish high jumper who won a bronze medal at the Athletics at the 1920 Summer Olympics, 1920 Summer Olympics. Ekelund was a top Scandinavian high jumper in the late 1910s. He won the Swedish Games with a jump of 1.85 m in 1916, the Scandinavian triangular meet in 1919, and Swedish national titles in 1919 and 1920. In September 1919 he set a new Scandinavian record at 1.93 m, which was the world's best jump in 1919. He received the Swedish sport award Stora Grabbars Märke in 1928. Ekelund retired from competitions in 1921, when he took an engineering job in Shanghai with the company Armerad Betong, eventually becoming its director. Miniature golf, also known as minigolf, mini-putt, crazy golf, or putt-putt, is an offshoot of the sport of golf focusing solely on the putting aspect of its parent game. The aim of the game is to score the lowest number of points. It is played on courses consisting of a series of holes (usually a multiple of 9) similar to its parent, but characterized by their short length (usually within 10 yards from tee to cup). The game uses artificial putting surfaces (such as carpet, artificial turf, or concrete), a geometric layout often requiring non-traditional putting lines such as bank shots, and artificial obstacles such as tunnels, tubes, ramps, moving obstacles such as windmills, and walls of concrete, metal, or fiberglass.
