Stoney Creek Generals
The Stoney Creek Generals were a Canadian senior ice hockey team playing out of Gateway Ice Centre in Stoney Creek, Ontario. In 2013, the Stoney Creek Generals joined the Ontario Hockey Association's Allan Cup Hockey League and began operations. The Stoney Creek Generals won the J. Ross Robertson Cup as the league's playoffs champions in four consecutive seasons from 2016 to 2019. Stoney Creek, Ontario
Stoney Creek is a community in the city of Hamilton in the Canadian province of Ontario. It was officially a city from 1984 to 2001, when it was amalgamated with the rest of the cities of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton–Wentworth. The community of Stoney Creek is located on the south shore of western Lake Ontario, east of downtown Hamilton, into which feed the watercourses of Stoney Creek as well as several other minor streams. The historic area, known as the "Old Town", is below the Niagara Escarpment. Stoney Creek experienced an increase in residential growth, particularly in the lower city in the 1970s and 1980s, and in the west mountain in the 1990s and 2000s, but most of the land mass of Stoney Creek remains agricultural. Tyler Donati
Tyler Donati (born October 17, 1986) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right wing, who last played for the Brampton Beast of the ECHL. Tyler is the identical twin of hockey player Justin Donati, and is older than Justin by just 7 minutes. Though neither brother has been drafted, both attended the Detroit Red Wings rookie camp in 2006. Playing career On January 8, 2005 Tyler, along with brother Justin, was acquired from the Oshawa Generals to the Toronto St. Michael's Majors for Cal Clutterbuck. Tyler played alongside of Justin on the Toronto St. Michael's Majors of the OHL, but this was ended when Tyler was traded to the Belleville Bulls. Tyler and his brother both attended the Detroit Red Wings rookie camp as non-draft invitees in August/September 2006 and played well, both producing points regularly throughout the tournament games. Justin Sawyer (born October 18, 1985) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who is currently playing senior men's hockey with the Stoney Creek Generals of the Allan Cup Hockey (ACH). Ryan O'Marra
Ryan O'Marra (born June 9, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. O'Marra played professionally from 2006 until 2015. A first round pick of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL), O'Marra played 33 games in the NHL and finished his career playing in European leagues. Early life O'Marra was born to Irish Canadian parents in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to Canada when he was one year old. O'Marra was also a student at Athabasca University. David Ling
David Gregory Ling (born January 9, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. Ling was selected by the Quebec Nordiques in the 7th round (179th overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Junior Ling played with the Charlottetown Abbies for three seasons (starting at age 14) and in his third season the MRJHL as a 17-year-old in 1991–92, as he scored 33 goals, 75 points and 270 PIM in only 30 games. Ling also played eight games with the St. Michael's Buzzers of the OHA, earning 19 points. Ling was drafted in the second round (18th overall) by the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League. Stefan Legein (born November 24, 1988) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2nd round, 37th overall of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Legein spent most of his junior career in the OHL, playing only one year in another league, the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League (OPJHL) before being drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Kellan Lain (born August 11, 1989) is a Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward who most recently played for the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Playing career Following the completion of his junior playing career, Lain played college hockey for the Lake Superior State Lakers men's ice hockey, Lake Superior State Lakers. Matt Dzieduszycki (born April 8, 1980 in Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre who last played for the Stoney Creek Generals in the Senior men's Allan Cup Hockey. Playing career Dzieduszycki turned pro in 2002, playing 66 games for the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch and 10 games for the ECHL's Dayton Bombers. In 2003, he moved to the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL and also had spells in the ECHL for the Augusta Lynx and the Louisiana IceGators during their run in the playoffs. Allan Cup Hockey (ACH), formerly Major League Hockey until 2011, is the top tier Canadian senior ice hockey league in the province of Ontario.
