My America Is Watching Tigers Die was an American noise rock band formed in Newark, Delaware, 2002. The group consists of: vocalist David Rushman, guitarist Matthew Turner, bassist Brian Miller, and drummer Andrew Rapp. They were influenced by Deadguy, Knut, The Jesus Lizard, Botch, and Coalesce. The band toured with acts such as: Coliseum, Sannhet, Keelhaul, KEN Mode, Rosetta, Engineer, North, Bezoar, Thera Roya, All Time Low, and Pharaoh to name a few. They were originally called An April Setting Sun until changing their name in May 2004. The band signed into Emerald Moon Records and released their debut album ''Narratives'' (2006). Horse the Band (stylized as HORSE the band) is an American metalcore band from Lake Forest, California, who are best known for their chiptune, 8-bit video game-influenced sound combined with metalcore. Frontman Nathan Winneke once jokingly described their sound as "Nintendocore", although the band have gone to lengths to distance themselves from the label, reiterating that this merely describes the sound, not the substance. ''Alternative Press'' is an American entertainment magazine primarily focused on music and culture, now based in Los Angeles, CA. It generally provides readers with band interviews, photos, and relevant news. It was founded in 1985 by Mike Shea in Cleveland, OH. The company is now looked after by MDDN. Beginnings The first issue of ''Alternative Press'' was distributed at concerts in Cleveland, Ohio beginning in June 1985 by ''APs founder, Mike Shea to advocate bands playing underground music. The name for the magazine, ''Alternative Press'', was not a reference to the alternative rock genre, but referred to the fanzine being an alternative to the local press. Ed Gein was an American grindcore band, based in Syracuse, New York. The band consisted of Graham Reynolds (guitar, vocals), Aaron Jenkins (bass, vocals) and Jesse Daino (drums, vocals). Breather Resist
Breather Resist was an American hardcore punk band from Louisville, Kentucky, formed in 2002 and dissolved in 2006. They take their name from the song “Breather Resist” by Hoover. History Breather Resist formed in 2002 and recorded 8 songs, 4 of which were on handmade demos. These 8 songs became their first EP, "Only in the Morning", released on Deathwish, Inc. Their first LP, ''Charmer'', was released on Jade Tree Records in October 2004, having been produced by Kurt Ballou. In December 2005, lead singer Steve Sidoni left the group; guitarist Evan Patterson and bassist Nick Thieneman assumed the vocal duties. Society's Finest
Society's Finest is a metalcore band from Dallas, Texas. Their first full-length album, '' The Journey...So Far'', was released on Solid State Records in May 2000. Due to member changes and personal matters the band took a break from touring and recording to focus on their personal lives. During this hiatus, vocalist Josh Ashworth toured with the metalcore band Zao. When re-forming in 2004, the band joined Hand of Hope Records. With this label, they released '' Love, Murder, and a Three Letter Word'' in mid-2004. It contained new songs, along with old songs from their debut EP, ''Private Conflicts and Suicides'' (Pluto Records). Their third album, '' And I, the Drunkard'', was released in June 2006. Noise Rock
Noise rock (sometimes called noise punk) is a noise music, noise-oriented style of experimental rock that spun off from punk rock in the 1980s. Drawing on movements such as minimal music, minimalism, industrial music, and New York hardcore, artists indulge in extreme levels of distortion through the use of electric guitars and, less frequently, electronic instrumentation, either to provide percussive sounds or to contribute to the overall arrangement.
