Stomach Trouble
''Stomach Trouble'' is a 1927 silent animated short starring the comic strip character Krazy Kat. The short was released by Winkler Pictures. Plot The cartoon starts in a house where Krazy wakes up from his bed. He then heads to the refrigerator to get some breakfast. To his surprise, he finds his refrigerator empty, and notices he desperately needs to fill his belly. Krazy goes outside to look for anything to satisfy his hunger. He spots a pie placed on a window sill of another house but the owner removes it before Krazy could get near. He tries to take sausages from a basket carried by a hound but the long meats are too tricky to handle. He then attempts to take a sandwich from a steamer owned by a mime but the mime notices this immediately before taking back the cookware and fleeing. ''Krazy Kat'' (also known as ''Krazy & Ignatz'' in some reprints and compilations) is an US, American newspaper comic strip, by cartoonist George Herriman, which ran from 1913 to 1944. It first appeared in the ''New York Journal-American, New York Evening Journal'', whose owner, William Randolph Hearst, was a major booster for the strip throughout its run. The characters had been introduced previously in a side strip with Herriman's earlier creation, ''The Dingbat Family''. The phrase "Krazy Kat" originated there, said by the mouse by way of describing the cat. The Big Cartoon DataBase (or BCDB for short) is an online database of information about animated cartoons, animated feature films, animated television shows, and cartoon shorts. The BCDB project began in 1997 as a list of Disney animated features on creator Dave Koch's local computer. In response to increasing interest in the material, the database went online in 1998 as a searchable resource dedicated to compiling information about cartoons, including production details such as voice actors, producers, and directors, as well as plot summaries and user reviews of cartoons. In 2003, BCDB became a 501(c) non-profit corporation. On June 24, 2009, it was announced by creator Dave Koch on his BCDB forums that the site had 100,000 titles.
