Stolen Moments (film)
''Stolen Moments'' (1920) is a silent romantic drama film starring Marguerite Namara with Rudolph Valentino playing a villain, the last film in which he played one. It was released in December 1920, just a few months before Valentino was elevated to stardom by his performance in '' The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse'' (released March 6, 1921). In fact, filming of ''Stolen Moments'' was expedited so that Valentino could make it to Hollywood before filming began on '' The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse''. Plot Valentino plays José Dalmarez, a Brazilian author who is also popular with readers in the United States. In the opening scene, young Vera Blaine (Marguerite Namara) is walking through a park in Florida when she encounters Dalmarez. He gives her his photo, the back of which has a love poem. Enchanted, Vera later gives José a book that's similarly inscribed. José tells her he has to return to Brazil and invites her to accompany him. Excitedly, Vera reveals that she'll ta ...

Stolen Moments (Oliver Nelson Song)
"Stolen Moments" is a jazz standard composed by Oliver Nelson. It is a 16-bar piece though the solos are on a conventional minor blues structure. The recording of the song on Nelson's 1961 album, '' The Blues and the Abstract Truth'', led to it being more generally covered. The tune was given lyrics when Mark Murphy recorded his version in 1978. History The piece first appeared as "The Stolen Moment" on the 1960 album '' Trane Whistle'' by Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, which was largely written and co-arranged by Oliver Nelson. It was not marked out as anything special, in fact the cover notes only mention that the trumpet solo is by Bobby Bryant and that Eric Dolphy's bass clarinet can be heard briefly on the closing. However, in the liner notes to ''Eric Dolphy: The Complete Prestige Recordings'', Bill Kirchner states that this incorrectly credits Dolphy with playing what is actually the baritone saxophone of George Barrow, with Dolphy's contribution to the piece being the secon ...

Stolen Moments (Alison Brown Album)
''Stolen Moments'' is album by American banjoist Alison Brown, and was released in 2005. Guest artists include Sam Bush, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Stuart Duncan and Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. Reception In his Allmusic review, music critic James Christopher Monger praised the album and wrote "the most alluring piece appears at the end of Stolen Moments; the self-penned mandolin, conga, and banjo-driven "Musette for a Palindrome" is so unlike anything else on the record that one can only hope that it's merely a teaser for the next. More like this please." Writing for '' No Depression'', Robert L. Doerschuk compared Brown to Béla Fleck, summarizing the album as "one more step toward enlightenment, so that even the dimmest bulbs can understand why Brown’s similarities to Fleck — mainly, jaw-dropping virtuosity — are ultimately beside the point..." and referred to Brown's aesthetic: "simple, eloquent, and fully original." Stolen Moments (Prudence Liew Album)
''Stolen Moments'' is the 15th studio album by Hong Kong singer Prudence Liew. This is the second in a series of three cover albums released by Liew in three different languages: the Mandarin album '' Love Addict'' was previously released in June 2011, and the English album '' Reincarnated Love'' released in July 2017. Album information The reasoning behind naming the album " ''Stolen Moments''" is actually explained on the cover of the album: Liew stated that she immensely enjoyed the recording session, hence a person and enjoyment combined to form the Chinese character "steal". In the liner notes, Liew explained that in the process of covering another person's work, besides paying the royalty fees to the record companies, no permissions were granted by the original artists, composers, and lyricists, and therefore is a form of stealing from their artistic moments. Of the ten songs on the album, a more pop version of " (My Left and Right Hands)" was previously included on the ...
