Stockton St John's F.C. was an association football club based in the town of Stockton-on-Tees, England. The team joined the second division of the Northern League in 1898 following the resignation of Leadgate Exiles, and won the title in their first season. Stockton-on-Tees, often simply referred to as Stockton, is a market town in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham, England. It is on the northern banks of the River Tees, part of the Teesside built-up area. The town had an estimated population of 84,318 in 2011. It is included in the Tees Valley mayoralty.
