Dieter Stöckmann
Dieter Stöckmann (born 29 July 1941) is a retired German general of the Bundeswehr. He was Commander-in-Chief, Allied Forces Central Europe from 1996 to 1998. Biography Stöckmann was born in Stolp, Pomerania (today Słupsk, Poland). His family was expelled from Stolp after World War II and he grew up in Jever, Germany. After passing his Abitur in 1961, he joined the Bundeswehr as an officer cadet in a Panzergrenadier battalion. Stöckmann attended his General Staff Training Course at the Führungsakademie der Bundeswehr in 1972 - 1974 and served at the General Army Office. In 1976 - 1978 he attended the General Staff Training Course at the Royal Dutch Military Academy in The Hague, the Netherlands. After serving with the Panzergrenadiers he became the adjutant to the Chief of Staff of the German Army in 1982 and to the Chief of Staff of the Federal Armed Forces in 1984. Hans-Jürgen Stöckmann (8 January 1945 in Göttingen, Lower Saxony, Germany) is a German physicist who works in the area of quantum chaos. He is a professor at the University of Marburg, Germany. He is the son of the physicist Fritz Stöckmann. Stöckmann had studied physics at Heidelberg University and received his doctorate there in 1972. Jacob "Jaap" Stockmann (born 24 July 1984) is a retired Dutch field hockey player, who played as a goalkeeper for the Dutch national team. Stockmann was announced FIH Best Goalkeeper of the World in 2014. In 2008 he was the reserve goalkeeper in the Dutch team that came in fourth at the Olympic Games in Beijing. At the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, he was the starting goalkeeper. Stockmann won the silver medal in 2012. Nis-Momme Stockmann (born 17 August 1981 in Wyk auf Föhr, on a North Frisian Island) is a German writer and theater director. His work includes plays, radio plays, prose, essays and poetry. He also teaches dramaturgy and scenic writing at the Zurich University of the Arts and at the Academy of Arts in Ludwigsburg. Paul or Paulus Stockmann (3 January 1603 – 6 September 1636) was a German academic, preacher and hymn-writer. He fought at the Battle of Lützen in 1632 and later served as court preacher to Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden, before dying of the plague in 1636. The Temple (novel)
''The Temple'' is a semi-autobiographical novel written by Stephen Spender, sometimes labelled a bildungsroman because of its explorations of youth and first love. It was written after Spender spent his summer vacation in Germany in 1929 and recounts his experiences there. It was not completed until the early 1930s (after Spender had failed his finals at Oxford University in 1930 and moved to Hamburg). Because of its frank depictions of homosexuality, it was not published in the UK until 1988. Plot ''The Temple'' begins in Oxford, where Paul Schoner meets Simon Wilmot and William Bradshaw, caricatures of the young W.H. Auden and Christopher Isherwood respectively.
