''Still Caught Up'' is the fifth album by R&B musician Millie Jackson, issued by Spring Records in 1975. It includes the single, "Loving Arms" / "Leftovers." A sequel to Jackson's previous album, '' Caught Up'', which told the story of a woman having an affair with a married man, ''Still Caught Up'' reprises its themes of adultery and recrimination. Where Side A of ''Caught Up'' featured Jackson singing from the mistress' point of view and Side B from the jilted wife's point of view, ''Still Caught Up'' begins with the wife on Side A and concludes with the mistress on Side B. Mildred Virginia Jackson (born July 15, 1944) is an American Rhythm and blues, R&B and Soul music, soul recording artist. Beginning her career in the early 1960s, three of Jackson's albums have been certified Music recording certification, gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA for over 500,000 copies sold. Jackson's songs often include long spoken sections, sometimes humorous, sometimes sexually explicit. She recorded songs in an Rhythm and Blues, R&B, disco, or Dance music, dance-music style and occasionally in a Country music, country style. Occasionally, Jackson has been called the "mother of Rapping, hip-hop," or of rapping itself. This has more to do with the long spoken sections in many of her songs as opposed to actual rapping. Thomas, Brenda Lee, and Elvis Presley, including Presley's US number one hit single, "Suspicious Minds." Jimmy Johnson (session Guitarist)
Jimmy Ray Johnson (February 4, 1943 – September 5, 2019) was an American session guitarist and record producer. Johnson was a member of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section who was attached to FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, for a period in the 1960s. In 1969, with the backing of Atlantic Records executive Jerry Wexler, Johnson became a co-founder of the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, along with drummer Roger Hawkins, bassist David Hood, and keyboardist Barry Beckett. The studio was originally located at 3614 Jackson Highway in Sheffield and later moved to 1000 Alabama Avenue, also in Sheffield. Johnson performed with Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin. He also engineered three tracks on the Rolling Stones' album ''Sticky Fingers''. He died from kidney failure in 2019 at the age of 76. Roger G. Hawkins (October 16, 1945 – May 20, 2021) was an American drummer best known for playing as part of the studio backing band known as the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (also known as the Swampers) of Alabama. David Hood (born September 21, 1943) is an American bassist from Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He also plays the trombone. He is a member of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Early life and education Hood was born in Sheffield, Alabama and attended the University of North Alabama. Career Hood started his career playing with the Mystics and as a backup musician at FAME Studios.
