Stevie Browning
Steven Edward Browning (born November 30, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Ovarense Basquetebol of the Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol. He played college basketball for Fairmont State and Marshall. Early life and high school Browning was born in Pensacola, Florida, raised in Logan, West Virginia and attended Logan High School. While at Logan Browning helped lead the Wildcats to the state playoffs three times and to the state title. As a senior he averaged 25.2 points per game and was named first team All-State. College career Fairmont State Browning began his collegiate career at Fairmont State. He appeared in all 32 of the Fighting Falcons' games as a freshman, averaging 6.9 points per game, and led the team in scoring as a sophomore, averaging 16.8 and 5.7 rebounds and was named second team All- MEC (2014). The Liga Portuguesa de Basquetebol ( en, Portuguese Basketball League), also known as Liga Betclic for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional club basketball league in Portugal. The Tibor Zsíros Magyar Kupa is the annual basketball cup competition held in Hungary since 1951. Budapest Honved has won the most titles with 17. The Basketball Tournament 2018
The Basketball Tournament 2018 was the fifth edition of The Basketball Tournament, a 5-on-5, single elimination basketball tournament broadcast by the ESPN family of networks. The tournament involved 72 teams; it started on June 29 and continued through August 3, 2018. The winner of the final, Overseas Elite, received a two million dollar prize. Format The tournament started with a field of 72 teams, organized into four regions of 18 teams, all of which were seeded. The 2017–18 FIBA Europe Cup was the third season of the FIBA Europe Cup, a European professional basketball competition for clubs that was launched by FIBA. The competition began on 20 September 2017, with the qualifying rounds, and concluded with the second leg of the final on 2 May 2018. 2017 Conference USA Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2017 Conference USA men's basketball tournament was held March 8–11, 2017, in Birmingham, Alabama, at Legacy Arena. Middle Tennessee received the conference automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA tournament with an 83-72 win over Marshall in the finals. Seeds Only 12 conference teams are eligible for the tournament. As a result, the top 4 teams receive a bye to the quarterfinals of the tournament. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Using this mechanism, a student athlete has at most five academic years to use the four years of eligibility, thus becoming what is termed a fifth-year senior.
